Wish it was stronger

The magnets on these hooks are very strong and will hold quite a bit. The strength is greatest when the magnets are attached to the bottom of a horizontal surface and somewhat weaker if attached to a vertical surface. That said, That said, I have a couple of these attached to the side of a steel cabinet and they easily hold accessory bags weighing 25lbs. The one inside the cabinet attached to the top holds a full pack weighing in at just over 60lbs and shows no sign of wanting to release. All in all a good product.

reasonable magnets, but the holding power is not great. I suppose they are supposed to be rated for a straight pull from some kind of heavy (thick) steel or iron plate. As such the actual holding on sheet metal would be considerably lower. However I bought these because they were advertised at 100 # which is higher than some I bought a short time ago which are rated at 90 # (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MZ2JZON/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1).In direct comparison with the magnets referenced above (pull with spring scale from same place on a steel roll-away), these magnets broke loose at about 20 lbs of pull where the ones rated at only 90 # would not detach until more than 25 lbs of pull were applied.I which I'd reordered the ones I bought earlier.

I love these hooks! BUT.... by all means, they do NOT have a 100lb work load. They barely hold my 10 lb purse. In a positive side, they are convenient and do hold well.

Using them to hold some decorative items on a steel shed. No problems so far and they have been thru heavy wind and rains. Like the coating.

Does not hold weight as described. 1 hook will hold one level. Level weights less than a pound. Hung a magnetic pan and it would not hold it. Pan may weight 2 pounds.

Perfect for my classroom white board and I could totally use these on a cruise too!
