Seems okay, but...
The last time I used a tallow based soap was heavily perfumed hotel soap back in the 60's and 70's. It was more common then. I have many allergies and immune problems that result in skin rashes and sensitivities. I can't use perfumed soaps anymore. I can safely use a couple of brands of olive oil castle soap, but thought I'd give this a try as another option, hoping it would be better for my skin. The good news is that the several times I used it, I didn't seem to react, though I didn't find it that moisturizing either. Thing is, being just the basic tallow soap, I did indeed smell the meat, and the steam of the shower made it even more permeating, and that was kind of off putting. I couldn't get used to it.I did also buy two other bars with ylang ylang and goatsmilk/coffee. I'm more wary to try those from an allergy standpoint, but hoping they are better from a smell perspective. I've used the goats milk/coffee on on my hands only, no reaction so far.

The absolute best!!!
I have been using this soap for several years now during the warm months, and it's just the best. I have severe sensitive skin that seems to be allergic to everything. However, this soap (thanks to quality production and materials used) does not irritate my skin, nor does it strip my skin of natural oils. I tried sooooo many other natural soaps, even other lye soaps but this product ended my never ending search. If you are deciding whether or not to try, just do yourself a favor and buy it. I would also like to take this chance to thank Clover Garden Soaps for this homemade miracle. :)

Best soap there is.
I have Parkinson's Disease, and one of the things that can happen with it is seborrheic dermatitis. My physician recommended lye soap. I could not find any locally, so I searched on the internet, and found Claire's storefront, here on Amazon. I ordered two bars to try it. I have been using it for a week, and I am very pleased. The soap relieves the itching, and I am noticing a reduction of the red blotches on my skin. I definitely will be ordering more.

Lye Soap
I bought this lye soap thinking that it could help me clean my pots that were given tome with cooked on food. It did not but it is excellent to bathe with. I suffer with really sensitive skin. This soap did not leave me with a rash or itchy skin.

I like it
I like this soap. I have never been a fan of most scents and like that it just smells "clean". It cuts grease. I keep it in the kitchen and will even use it for dishes.

Soap
Love it. With my allergies its nice to find a soap that I don't react to. Feels clean after I wash my hands with it. I don't feel any residue left behind after use.
