USB 3.0 to 5.25 Trayless Hot Swap Mobile Rack for 3.5" Internal SATA Hard Drive

Works great.. I found with some hard drives it is better to shut the computer off before switching them out... May just be me, as I seem to find all the problems in electronics, but it did corrupt the software on one hard drive, which of course could have been something with that hard drive or something I did...Only takes a second or two to shut the computer down and is worth it to me to be able to switch hard drives without opening the computer up and fighting with a lot of wiring and installation... Either way, great product and works great for me....

Initially I gave this item a bad review because it didn't work when I first installed it. Upon further troubleshooting I found that the problem was with the hard drive I was using. It apparently decided to chose the exact moment that I was testing out the bay to die. But I have since installed this and tested it out on several other drives and it works just fine. The main reason that I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the SATA cable and the power plug are not modular which can be annoying when trying to install it. Other then that it works well and seems solidly built.

DID NOT LIKE IT

All I had to do to enable it was to enable hot swap in BIOS.reboot drive is there. OS Ubuntu.

I bought these for 3 computers at work as well as my personal computer at home. It works wonderful and I can't imagine using another brand with the success I've had with now 4 of these. Highly recommended!

Works great and fits. Matches most black cases,it has perminent Sata and power which is a bit inconvinentm but they function great, just too short,

Works as advertised. Hot swapping SATA drives no problem.it only takes a minute to switch drives in the caddy and get back online. Perfect for backups.
