OK for engraving
Good little units for the kids. Not particularly robust but not particularly pricey either. I engraved them too and they stood up to that. Nice for price!

I purchased 2 of these compasses. One was assembled correctly with the graphics at the bottom of the unit aligned correctly with a smooth operating adjustable dial ring. The second unit had the bottom graphics misaligned and the adjustable dial ring is not at all smooth. Hence the three star rating.

Looks nice but such poor quality it's unusable
Within five minutes of using the arrow seems to get stuck on it's housing and doesn't move correctly. I know it's a cheap product, but the basic function of being a compass should work as that's the only reason I bought it.Save your money

Just The Job!
This is a nice, neat, pocket compass - not that I was thinking about going orienteering or anything (those days are long-passed)- I simply wanted a cheap compass to accurately confirm the bearings of my home and garden - silly, I know, but that's the reason. However, I would more than happily rely on it and have it in my pocket when out and about - just to be curious.

Schaut schön aus. Allerdings gleich beim auspacken und aufklappen ist der Befestigungsring abgebrochen.
