Yes , it’s powerful. But 1) it beeps 3 times occasionally and the engine doesn’t start and 2) the auto feed line doesn’t work . You have to stop, remove the battery, put the trimmer on the floor , open the lid, adjust the line manually, put the lid back, the battery back , stand up and continue working for another 30 seconds until repeat the process again (I am shaping the border of my grass which more line demanding than just cutting the grass horizontally). I made a question to the seller , if something changes I’ll let you know otherwise this thing will be returned

This Redback 120V 16 inch String Trimmer, Cordless Weed Eater, Brushless Motor, 2Ah Battery and 1A Charger Included works as described except the string release, it doesn't work for me. I spend most of my time opening and restoring the string after it breaks because the tap function doesn't work as described, other than restoring the string the trimmer has power it cuts well and it's not to weighted with the 120v battery. I feel it's easy to handle it just needs a better string head. I haven't used it long enough to judge the battery life because I'm constantly re stringing the head because of breakage.

as powerful as most gas trimmers, grab and go

This is a great product. I won’t ever need another trimmer again. And I love the shoulder strap that it comes with so I can carry the weight with my body and not my arms!

I've used my fair share of battery-operated power tools over the years, and this one takes the cake. It's as powerful as a gas-powered edge trimmer (as loud as one, too) without all the drawbacks of a gas trimmer, such as that awful gas smell and the need to buy gas frequently to power the device.This thing is a serious tool and should be treated as such. It's heavy and requires you to wear a shoulder sling to carry most of the weight of the trimmer. The battery pack is where most of the weight is, so you'll want to mount the handle grips at the point on the shaft that gives you the best balance when handling the trimmer.The trimmer has a wide range of power, and you control the speed/intensity of the trimmer by how you pull the trigger. Pull harder, it goes faster, gets louder, and is able to cut through brush with more power. Pull lightly and it rotates more slowly, more quietly, and more gently.Assembly is quick and easy, though the instructions leave a little to be desired. The instruction manual doesn't cover everything, so some common sense will be required, as there are pieces included in the package that aren't mentioned at all in the manual.Overall this is a fantastic product and a wonderful alternative to a gas-powered edge trimmer. You give up absolutely nothing and instead end up with a powerful tool that is safer, better for the environment, and easier on the pocketbook.
