I love the simplicity and usability of this collar. It's simple, and it goes a long distance (I verified it at over 1.5 miles, full of brush). The dogs quickly respond to the beep, and with as many shock settings it makes discipline easy. I have a Blue Tick Coonhound and he's responded very well, and it has put my mind at ease as far as issues go. I will also recommend this based on SportDog's awesome service- when I ordered it the transmitter wasn't functioning 100%- at times it worked flawlessly then others it wouldn't go past 100 yards, but when I brought the issue to them they express shipped me a whole new setup and were very quick to respond to my questions. I would test the collar at some distances just to make sure it is working at a full range before letting your hound go on a run through the brush. All in all for the price, you can't beat this system. I'm likely to go to SportDog's Tek series next. My GWHP is currently working on a Gun Dog 1250 model, and it can't be beat for the price and versatility either,

The SportDOG is an excellent product and exceptionally hardy, we wont use any other dog training product as long as this brand is available. This is our 2nd set of the HoundHunter 3225 after some 12-15 years of use, and the last set is still working, however looking a little tatty now after their hard work with 2 Smooth Haired Fox Terriers in the bush hunting. We even drove over the remote with our Land Cruiser after it fell off the vehicle accidentally, and even though it was battered, it still worked, which certainly says something for the quality of the product.

This is a great medium priced dog trainer. We use it with our two dogs and it works great. The range is amazing for the price. Had the remote fail within the warranty period, tone button fell off, and sport dog sent us a new one.

Replaced and older sport dog collar with this one and its night and day. We have a husky that used to run away alot and she won't go out of the yard when she has her collar on now because she knows I can still shock her even when she's not in sight. Also very pleased with the battery life. It has been lasting a few days.
