Very sturdy and beautiful!
Bad news first - the screws were sometimes very hard to line up with the screw holder that is inserted into the shelves. One of the shelves was damaged on the end so I will have to 'spackle' a little bit and then paint but it wasn't too bad. I ordered two shelves and both top shelves had an unpainted side that shows so I had to paint that. Be careful because it's very easy to put the shelves in backwards. I did it - TWICE! The instruction booklet just shows pictures, no dialogue which is the reason I put the shelves in backwards - the picture was not accurate. Extra hardware was included, I assume, to anchor it to the wall; however, there were no instructions on how to do it. Now the good news! All said and done - I LOVE THEM! Exactly what I was looking for and VERY sturdy! They are beautiful! The bookshelves would have gotten a five if the instructions were more accurate...so I give it a 4 1/2.

Decent
Nothing fantastic here. Unlike many of the reviews I found it simple to assemble. I would estimate it took less than 10 minutes and I wasn't in a hurry. The box was initially missing all of the hardware but a five minute phone call got the manufacturer to ship one out and I had it in a couple of days. It is sturdy enough and does the job for my daughter's room. My only real issue is that if you look at it for more than a few seconds it looks cheap. The joints don't really line up well and all of the bolts are visable.

Item is as described, but assembly is horrific.
Looking to test your relationship with your significant other? Assemble this bookshelf together. If you’re still talking to each other at the end, you are most likely soulmates. Over the years my husband and I have assembled all sorts of things, and plenty of ikea pieces, but this one takes the cake. So many screws, 75% of which did not align with the proper holes without SERIOUS effort and frustration. For context, we are both early 30s and dedicated exercisers... and we’re sore today from ASSEMBLING A BOOKSHELF. I wish I could pay to get my time back. To be fair, it is exactly as pictured, it just took way too much unnecessary effort to get it together.

Love the design and look, but the directions were difficult and inaccurate. Also, not easy to assemble.
