The core of the paracord is loose within the outer sheath. It is possible there isn't enough fibers inside to give the cord any firmness. The sheath freely moves across the core, which occasionally comes out as far as 2 inches beyond the sheath. I believed the price to be excellent, and the cord looks great, but you can feel that it is poorly made when you feel it between your fingers. Hopefully this is only true of this particular run of cord.
