My 11 year old fractured his ankle 4 weeks ago. He returned to playing soccer this week and was able to play using this brace. No pian except for sore legs from the extended time off. Supportive but not too bulky and can fit inside his cleats. He has switched from the medical boot to this brace full time.

does the job! velcro is a bit weak, the sorter ones that go behind the ankle and calf can become loose after several swift hard movements. the longer ones that go under the foot and around the leg hold much better

put it simply this is the best brace you could possibly get or at least this brand they have three levels. This is the middle tier with the most widespread adaptable use cases. All those other braces that have traditional lace ups and that aren’t designed for once at your foot the left or the right so uncomfortable plus it’s really hard to wear shoes. This is perfectly but so much better. It rear entry is the best there’s no overlapping fabric it’s snug and all the right places and you can make it tighter as you want. It’s purposeful. Yes it’s a little pricey, but it’s so worth it.

This is the most comfortable ankle brace I've tried. My ortho doc gave (sold) me one that fit me terribly. It was super uncomfortable, and I tried a few online. This was makes me feel like my ankle is supported but it's still mobile and I can move as if I have no brace on. I returned all of the other braces and will keep using this until I'm 100%, and then while playing in sports where I risk reinjuring the ankle.

Absolutely fantastic brace. A lot of people will choose an ASO type brace after a sprain because they’re cheaper, but this brace has you covered in areas the others don’t. Where others have laces that lack support at the bottom, this has full wrap around material with a steel supported brace right where it matters most on the exterior side of your ankle. I fractured my ankle and tore 3 ligaments playing basketball about 6 months ago, and this brace has been perfect. Zamst’s level 3 reinforced brace is a bit overkill compared to this one, and if you’re considering which of the 3 levels of brace to get, but this level 2 one!

Zamst A2-dx was my favorite ankle brace when I had to wear one 24/7 for 2 months several years ago with low sneakers, even wore this one in water with keen water shoes. I was hoping the Zamst A1 would work for hiking, but it did not. Very well made and comfortable when not hiking. But the third time I hiked with this brace with mid-high Keen hiking boots I realized the outside stay was not positioned correctly - the back part of the stay was going over my ankle bone instead of behind it, digging into the bone. The brace fit well in terms of being snug, size medium and I wear a men's 7 medium or a women's 8.5 wide. Sorry it didn't work. Hard to find a brace for hiking. Many will work for 6 months and then start to bother you.

While not a rigid sided brace, it provides a lot of support while being comfortable to wear. After figuring out the straps, it was easy to put on. Be sure to buy the correct size and for the correct foot (left or right).
