These are, from the time I have used them, SC-SC connectors that just work. For just $7 for a 5 pack, at the time of my purchase, these carry a good value for what they offer.However, it should be brought as a reminder that these are completely passive connectors—any light/laser that passes through will travel through the hole in the middle, between the fibers of the connected cables.

I purchased the adapters so I could connect 2 fiber cords. AT&T installed my router in an inconvenient spot so I needed it to reach far across the room. It worked perfectly with no issues.

I used 1 of these to extend the fiber to my mldem from the kitchen window of all places to install a modem to behind the TV in my living room. ATT's fiber jumper was already 15 ft so i added another 30 foot jumper and this coupler to get it where i wanted (ran it through the attic and dropped it down between the walls behind the tv). No loss that i can see on the coupler or very minimal so its not noticeable in this environment.

I tested this with a 30m fiber extension. I can now move my modem into another room.

I used these to extend my fiber optic internet line into my house. This plus an extra 3 meter APC cable and presto, I can now put my fiber modem in a much better location.

Used this in conjunction with a fiber optic patch cable to move the router from one room to another. I had originally contacted our ISP but was told it would cost about $100 to send someone out to move it. This was way cheaper!
