*****Update***** After 5 months the weather globe is really starting to put on a show. It didn’t work at all until about a week ago. I turned it on it’s side instead of sitting upright and left it alone. Now besides the crystals growing up the sides it has what looks like crystals forming on the surface and hanging down into the globe so it looks like clouds. Pretty interesting once it starts working.Like most people here looking to purchase this weather globe I saw the advertisement elsewhere with the time lapse video of the crystals growing halfway up the globe’s interior. I’ve had this sitting undisturbed inside a bay window for exactly one month today. It does absolutely nothing. We’ve had several major weather systems move through our area yet all I’ve seen from it is a very slight change in the formation of crystals lying in the bottom of the globe. This is not doing anything like the one I saw in the ad where the crystals grow halfway up the globe. It makes me wonder if they spotlight a different globe containing a much different chemical ratio in the one they used for advertising? Bait and switch type sales? I would hope not but still this globe doesn’t do anything but collect dust and make my wallet lighter.

This product does NOT forecast the weather as described!! The online product description reads as this:"The appearance of the liquid transforming from clear to cloudy to crystal flakes .The cool new and modern Storm Glass is a natural way to forecast the weather. According to the state formed inside the bottle, can predict sunny, cloudy, fog, storms, snow, etc."The pamphlet that comes with the product is shown below.There is NO mention in the pamphlet that this product predicts the weather. All the pamphlet mentions is that "A storm glass is a type of device for decoration, composed of a sealed glass container, filled with liquid, and suitable for the owner to observe appearance of the crystals when the temperature changes inside the glass"I am VERY disappointed in this purchase as I purchased it for my husband who's livelihood depends on the weather. I would definitely NOT recommend this product to anyone!

I ordered one of these as a gift & loved it so much I got another for my father-in-law. The second one didn’t come with the brochure that told what any of the crystal formations mean, rendering it useless and therefor a really poor gift. Can you please send me the brochure so that I can get it to him?

I was super excited to receive this but it has not lived up to my expectations. Yes, there is some change but it is VERY minimal. I do not really see a difference based on the weather either. It is pretty and the concept is neat. I will be keeping it sitting out but I do wish that it actually did something.

This product does not work. I have seen some that do, so I will be re-ordering from another company. This has sat for almost 4 weeks in two different locations and it has not worked in any way

It doesn’t change at all.... we have had snow, rain, and sunny weather all in the last month and it has not change once. Don’t waste your money.

I got this for my wife as a Christmas Gift. She really likes to looks of it and we have it setting on the fireplace mantle. It took it about 2 weeks but the crystals do change shape and size based on the weather. It's really neat to watch.

I have had this product since December and from day one it is never worked rain Sun Don't matter the crystals inside this globe don't move at all so if you're buying it to predict some sort of weather it wont-work I've kept it as a novelty item
