Good product
I bought it for shredding cabbage to make sauerkraut, 😋 it makes thin layers, which is perfect for me. You can also use it to make cabbage fresh salad. You won't be able to do it with knife because it very thin and delicate. Thanks seller .👍

Thin thin thin sliced cabbage!
If you’ve ever gone to a legit Japanese rest and we’re served cabbage as your salad you know how thinly sliced it comes. I’ve been wanting to recreate this at home and found this slicer! It’s wonderful! Just be careful you don’t add in some thinly sliced fingers. This thing is sharp!!

Not wide enough
I recently purchased the Shimomura Kihan 35098 Tonkatsu Shop Slicer, and unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. While it's made in Japan, known for its quality craftsmanship, this slicer has some significant drawbacks. One of the main issues I encountered is that the slicer is not wide enough. When attempting to slice cabbage, I found myself struggling due to the limited width of the blade. It made the slicing process tedious and impractical, especially when dealing with larger vegetables. I expected a slicer to be more accommodating for various cutting needs, but this one missed the mark. The build quality is decent, and the blade is sharp, as you'd expect from a Japanese product. However, the narrow width severely hampers its overall functionality. I feel like the design oversight significantly affects the slicer's usability in a home kitchen, making it less versatile than other options available on the market. If you're looking for a slicer with more versatility, I would recommend exploring other options with a wider blade to make your kitchen tasks more efficient and enjoyable.
