Like other purchasers have said. These boots are absolutely beautiful The pictures don't do them justice. I own and have owned the oiled leather kind. I wasn't expecting them to be much different, but they are absolutely beautiful. They look much more stylish than the oiled leather. However, in the same size as my regular size, they did not fit. They fit too loose so I returned them and ordered one whole size smaller. They seem to be too loose. But the quality of the material is superb to any of the oiled leather boots I've owned before, including the Harley and others I currently own. They have the smell of real leather even with the box closed. They are soft, but not flimsy soft. They are just very well made. I highly recommend them. The good thing is that returns are so very easy with Amazon. If the size you order doesn't fit, it is easy to return and order another size.

The instep of the vamp is just a tad loose, but with a thin foam insole, these are spot on now. these are hand made in Mexico so I expected this.These have a shiny dress boot look to them instead of the oil tan leather that most of the other brands use, and you get a smooth leather lined shaft (pig skin) instead of the rough side of the leather.The outsole is a hybrid that is smooth leather with a rubber piece glued and stitched to it ( so not sure on longevity ).These are the fourth pair of Soto boots that I have purchased and my size happened to finally be in stock, so I was able to snatch these up (and on sale too).Received these yesterday and wore them out and about this morning and they felt like they were already broken in.If you like the harness boot look I think you would like these.

These are GREAT boots and I love them!!! When I first bought them I thought they were way to loose. I put inserts in them and wore them for the first time and they were GREAT! I will buy these again!!!

Im a Chaplain for a PTSD recovery program and a horse trainer. When I do weddings and funerals, I like to wear my best. These boots are incredible.

For the most part the boots are comfortable, I like the looks of them, what there is to see. Once you get them on all you see is the foot, the shaft,or whatever it is called,is too tight to stuff pants leg into. Would of preferred a larger opening but it's not that big of a deal that I'm going to return them, I'll deal with it.

Had to return they run big, reordered smaller size.

Common theme in the comments. Ordered an 8. Box said 8, boot said 8.5? With all the comments, I do not understand why they cannot correct the size issue...zero quality control? I am sure they are using a template for the sole. Tried heal spacers and still too big. I like the boots, so returned for a smaller pair. They are definitely hand made. Stitching varies and boots are slightly different. Soles and heal are glued and nailed. Nails are in different positions (close) on the heal of each boot and one of them was not recessed below the heal surface. Easy fix, but is any one inspecting the end product? Will see when next pair gets delivered.
