I really liked this kit as a way to learn to crochet something very cute! The instructions were a little difficult to understand at first and the video was a little fast for learning the stitches but I really liked how it came with everything you need plus more. There was plenty of yarn left over to make more projects as well as all the other items you need (scissors, stitch markers, needles, key chain, etc). It may not be the best for very beginners (I am a beginner myself) but it was a fun project and helped me learn how to do a lot of crocheting.

The kit has everything you need. It has full written instructions and YouTube instructions. You do need to watch the instructions for full understanding. It is good for a wide age range. Teens to Adults. Not good for little kids. Too many small pieces for them.I recommend this kit. The price is a bit higher for it. Yet, it’s still worth it to find out if you like crohcheting.A good buy for trying it, and cute critters.

I purchased this kit as a complete beginner to crocheting. The kit comes with everything you need and enough materials to make some extras. However, I found the instructions and instructional videos a bit confusing and lacking in detail. After spending some time researching and watching several videos created by other people on YouTube I was able to complete each piece. They aren’t perfect, but they are cute! All in all it’s a decent kit that includes everything needed to get started, but with the mediocre instructions I would not recommend for a total beginner.

I appreciate that this kit came with so many tools. But the pattern page had a lot of typos and if I hadn’t done a few other kit patterns before this one, I never would have been able to navigate it. I wish the yarn would have been woven in a ball rather than just left loose, I had to deal with a lot of untangling along the way. The critters are very cute at least and there’s a lot of extra yarn

Comparing this to other beginner crochet kits (which I’ve only done 2 so far but completed without much difficulty) I found this kit extremely difficult mainly for 2 reasons: the first is that the yarn is not twisted very well and splits too easily if you aren’t super precise with where you put your hook and place markers, and the second is that the instruction video is just a person crocheting at rocket speed without any explanation of what they are doing. I tried watching the video at 0.25x speed and still couldn’t follow along.

These were super easy to make, and absolutely adorable when finished. The kit will make a few of each insect.

1. All of the tools included as advertised. Thank you. However, why would anyone assume that the crafter would want to melt wax in order to secure the eyes on this project. Not buying a cigarette lighter. Safety eyes should have been included.2. Written instruction divided into parts that do not flow well.3. Video is too fast. And, there is no voice over, so I'm not inclined to follow the video, although the demonstrator clearly knows what she is doing, I do not.4. Because of the wax thing, This is not child friendly. I do not find this project beginner friendly.5. I gave 2 stars, rather than not rate the project at all.

I bought this as a gift for my niece. She loved it and loved making them

Lovely set with all the correct parts present. However, the video is not great and you will need to search for another more basic video to get to grips with it if, like me, you are a complete beginner.
