Q: Removable for winter sun?

Yes indeed, peels right off,,,although I was unable to reapply that same piece.

We found the product to be very effective in blocking the sun from our window.

Q: Is this safe for birds will they fly into the window?

This is not transparent, it is reflective so the birds will see the sky and may fly into the window.

Q: Silver v. Black Silver - Is there a difference in either sun blockage or heat blockage between the 2 different colors (silver - black silver)?

The black silver is darker and I like it better. The silver is nice but not tinted enough for my area. I ended up doing double layer with the silver. Also, I bought 17w so they’re for smaller areas.
