Veep: The Complete Sixth Season (Digital HD + Blu-ray)

Greatest show since Seinfeld. I have watched this series at least a dozen times. EVERYONE on this show is spectacular.

My response, to those who take offense at the politics of the show, is to point out that the show is very funny!! As in "tongue in cheek" funny. If you are taking it seriously you are missing the point by a mile. The show makes fun of a President who should never have been President. I would suggest that you stop trying to parse the content of the show, and do what the rest of America is doing....just laugh at it!What the show's creators demonstrate to us each week is that--even the least qualified candidate--can gain control of the most valued and important job in the world.

Tho not as directly involved in politics, this season still is full of some of the best "one line" zingers you'll hear on the screen, delivered by fantastic actors. Complete and utter disregard for political correctness it what makes this so entertaining, without the typical left or right wing craziness of so many shows. The story lines themselves aren't terribly complicated, so you can watch and episode here and there without needing to binge it. Just as good (if not better) that previous episodes, hoping for more!

Julia and the rest of the cast and crew of 'Veep' make this stuff look easy. But it isn't. It can't be. They also make it funnier than anything has any right to be. Hopefully the studio will put together a nice Blu-Ray set of the entire series to honor the glory of 'Veep', a powerful, intelligent, and hysterical show.

Julia Louis-Dreyfuss is a national treasure in my mind, and Veep is killer hilarious. I hadn't streamed any episodes past season three, and decided to celebrate Friday night by randomly settling down with season 6. I still laughed a lot, and I think the show does a real service by reflecting the calculated horribleness of certain administrations which shall go unnamed. But the dialog had become so relentlessly raw that it detracts from the show's excellent characters and its honest depiction of unchecked ambition disguised as public service. I'll still probably watch it (and laugh), but I'll not feel great about it. Who knew, or wanted to know, there were so many genitally based insults inside the beltway?

love the show. Don't think its as funny now that she isn't actually in office but still very good writing. I can't figure out why it takes so long for episodes to be posted after they are aired. Still waiting for episode 8 that aired on Sunday and its Wednesday evening.

Maybe I am tiring of the same type of humor as in Veep.I don't think I enjoyed this season as much as previous seasons ...and ONLY 2 discs in this season???What's w/ that.Writing is fair to good...Julie Louis Dreyfus is superb, but I found the rest of the cast just fair.

One of the best comedies I've seen.All six seasons have been excellent.Julia Louis-Dreyfus is unleashed and in her element , firing on all eight cylinders.The key to good comedy is surrounding the main character with really good people,and combine them with good writing.Loses one star for the 4:3 aspect ratio even though you can see the filming was done in wide screen.No one has 4:3 televisions any more.In this day and age transfers to dvd should be no problem to get right.
