Definitely can't go wrong adding a machine like this to your collection especially for the price.
I've been tattooing 35 years. And this machine is probably the easiest and smoothest economical machine I've ever used. Don't know why some reviews say this machine is good until you can save up for a real expensive one. Why anybody would pay 10 times more for a machine that supposedly has a little better motor would be nuts. I would buy five of these machines before I would spend thousand dollars on some brand name. This machine is a no-brainer. Just twist the cartridge in and use the convenient twisting motion that cliques nicely so you can adjust the depth of your needle. This machine has a little bit of weight to it but you do not notice it at all the way you hold this type of machine. And it has absolutely no vibration at all other than you can feel that it is running. No noise very very quiet.. totally amazed and happy with this machine. Would definitely recommend to anybody. It is now my daily Workhorse

If you need a great quality liner/shader with sufficient punch to be an every day machine...
Look no further! This little unit has it all! The motor purrs along quietly at anywhere from 5-9 volts (sure it can handle more, but don't wanna fry the little sucker) with sufficient power to lay pin straight lines or pack large swaths of skin with rich color and great saturation (skills permitting, of course)... And sure, there are way better machines out there, but for the price, this can be a great backup machine for a pro artist and may even become your go-to. The bottom line; if you're just starting out, have a good number of years under your belt, or somewhere in between and know your way around a needle and ink set-up, you'll be a happy camper with this machine. (P.S: This review is for the Gen. 1 machine, and I'm using EZ Revolution carts in mine and haven't had any trouble.)

So far so good, it actually runs smoother than my new Chyanne ...
So far so good, it actually runs smoother than my new Chyanne Hawk. It's actually better in a few way which is crazy. The downside is that the Japanise motor probably wont last as long as the Swiss motor that is in my Chyanne, but then there is a $500 difference in price too. Still better than a Taiwan or Chinse motor from what I have read. The Japanise motors are supposed to last a couple years. If so then I will be totally happy. One other downside is that many cartridges, including Chyanne cartridges, fit a little snug in this pen. Not as easy to get in and out like the Chyanne. In fact, I had to use pliers to take out a Helios cartridge. A small downside considering what you get for your money here. This actually works as good as my $600 machines. Not just my Chyanne but also my bishop and all other $400 and over Rotaries. You can and will get the same professional results with this smooth running machine. (Keep in mind being a mass produced knock-off there will be the occasional dud, DONT think that they all a dud just because you happened to get a dud. SImply return and get another.) It should work perfect and smooth right out of the box. Like the Chyanne you simply turn the grip while holding above the centerpiece to adjust needle depth.

Unexpected great value!
This machine is a surprisingly great value in a world full of disappointing crap. I very seldom find a product that exceeds my expectations, but, this machine has. It runs quieter than my $700 machines. The vibrations are minimal. The cartridges lock in properly. The voltage range allows for heavy lines or soft shading. It is a great basic direct - drive machine for beginner's or pros. I ordered another one because I'm prone to being rough on my tools. I knocked it off my work station on to a hard tile floor the first day I used it. It still ran perfectly the rest of the 12 hour tattoo day. I've owned around 30 machines over the last 12 years and this one has been the best value so far. Buy one and try it.

Honest review
I wanna start off by saying I am a very experienced artist. (17 years). For the price this machine will get the job done. That said there are some flaws. First over the past 5 months I ordered 4 of them out of the 4. 2 were defective and had to be returned the other 2 worked well for about 4 months and on both the motor has now failed. So they don’t seam to last very long. The only other dislike I have with them is I wish you could adjust the stroke so it had just a little bit more throw. All in all if you are a kitchen wizard these should work for you. If you are a professional drop some coin and get one with a better quality motor.

Absolutely amazing machine.
I bought this based off a friend's referral. I had no expectations for this at all, fully prepared to waste 60 bucks. BOY WAS I WRONG. paired with the right cartridges. The possibilities are endless. From color packing to shading , this thing even lines! I have been loyal to the coil for a long time. But this is my go to for now. Will definitely be buying another. Ive got about 40 hours of run time on it so far and no signs of trouble or wear

runs great and feels very comfortable in my hand
runs great and feels very comfortable in my hand, tattooing for over 20 years and i have many machines from top end to put together scraps that i enjoy rebuilding and i am a firm believer its not the machine but the artist using it. The industry has turn into such a sponsored bunch of little kids that look at how much money and free shit they can get rather than loving your trade and putting the art in front of their supposedly pride of not wanting to tattoo for nothing less than a couple hundred dollars an hour.
