This is a great book if you want to work on a 1911 pistol It has all the dimensions of all the parts. It is a must have for 1911 owners.

I own almost a dozen of Jerry Kuhunhauen's books. On Mauser Rifles, Smith & Wesson, Colt, along with 3, or 4 on John Browning's fantastic Model 1911 pistol. I have many other's, that are worth $100's. to $1000.'s.But these are clear and to the point. So, unless I am looking for and Inspectors mark, of a date of manufacture, I use Jerry Kuhnhausen's books. If I need a spec on a size or a question about a part and how it is fitted, this is your go to reference Guy.

Volume II is an in depth technical evaluation of 1911 components which compliments Volume I where the focus is on maintenance and modification of those parts. If you are looking for armorer / smithing information look to Volume I. If you are looking for technical details Volume II is for you. The set is a must for individuals with a deep interest in the 1911 platform.

This book is a must-have for any professional pistol smith. It's not a cheap investment by any means, but the premium you pay is well worth the knowledge you can gain. It's great to have around the shop, and while it's a steep initial investment it will definitely pay off over the years we will be using it.

This book is EXACTLY what you need if building a 1911. Lots of schematics and detailed drawings with measurements. It even goes into detail about pistol internal designs that should help when purchasing parts for your next build (believe me, this was a big help).Book was shipped quickly and in great condition. This manual is worth it's weight in gold. Kuhnhausen spent a great deal of time researching for this book, and it pays off!

This is an excellent book and companion to what has become known as Vol 1. It is detailed and accurate and answers virtually all technical questions the M1911 owner might have including, but not limited to, differences in the yearly models. Superb book and a must have for any M1911/M1911A1 owner or affectionado.
