Very nice design: fits well in the hand and is a good, compact size. Has very nice rubberized grips on the sides to avoid unfortunate drops. Screen is clear and easy to read. The best part so far is the control panel. The circular arrangement, rubberized buttons and descriptive icons make for an intuitive, easy to use interface. Other brands have confusing, unintuitive, and poorly marked controls; this one is far and above those in terms of usability. The buttons also have a good feel to them. Love the pythagorean function (though I know that 's a common function, it's still a great feature.) Initial build quality appears to be very solid. I've compared it to my other handheld tools from Irwin, Stanley, Zircon and Ryobi and it seems just as solid. I've only had it a couple days and I'm not a heavy user so I can't speak to the long-term durability; but I can update in a year or so. Overall a solid addition to my toolbox.

Great indoors. I did have some issues using it outdoors in full sun for longer distances. That issue was discussed with the company and they were VERY helpful in explaining the limitations in that environment. The company showed a remarkable attention to customer satisfaction so they deserve a serious consideration as a vendor. If you buy from them, they will take care of you. Can't ask for more than that. Better than most.

I checked the accuracy by comparison to several tape measures. It seemed to fairly consistently read about 1/8 inch more than the tape measures. For short measurements of 2 feet of less the accuracy was better than 0.1%. For distances up to 150 feet the accuracy was also very good. However, it turned out to be sensitive to the target material. It did not work so well if the target was metal (either shiny or dull).

Just purchased a new home and needed a tool to help me with the many improvements I want to make as I hate dealing with tape measures and levels. Everything I saw in the stores for a laser level or measurement needed two devices. The Whole Yard Laser Measurement Tool is an all in one devices that is easy to use, light, and rugged. Accidentally dropped it a few times, no issues at all. It’s very tough. The number of features on this devices makes it an outlier to the competition. I am very happy with this purchase. Buy IT

I'm extremely happy with this purchase. It has performed well up to about 30 feet in outdoor daylight. I was also pleasantly surprised that not only does it show measurements in feet and decimal fractions of feet, but also in feet, inches, and fractional inches to 1/16" accuracy. If you're in need of a compact and easy to use electronic measuring divide, you can't go wrong with this one.

I purchased the Laser Measure tool for home projects last week. Loved it! Durable, accurate and very easy to use. Mid-week my son who has a landscaping business stopped by, saw the laser measure tool and got so excited about how he could use it my husband actually gave ours to him... looks like I will be purchasing a second one!! Additional note- sellers have been very responsive and easy to work with!

Works good nice bright lazer for acurate targeting. Simple to use with streamlined features.

Have not used it yet, unable to open the back to insert the batteries supplied. I had to go to 3 different stores to find an eyeglass repair kit in order to find a small enough screw driver to fit the screw. I will post a new review once I have had the ability to try out this item.
