LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Perfect for my 1950 home.
I have a home built in 1950, with all interior brass doorknobs. They looked really dated (well....they are from 1950!....but dated in a bad way). Plus they were sticking and just not latching smoothly anymore. We had tried multiple to fix them to work properly. I bought a different brand of crystal doorknobs, but they came with all the interior hardware too....and this hardware did not fit in my old doors. These doorknobs only screwed perfectly into the existing door with the included spindle. So easy....and SO pretty. Very nice upgrade for any home. I bought 7 sets to fit all my main floor interior doors and closets! Definitely recommended! NOTE: they do not come with rosettes (or back plates). I will be picking some up at the local hardware store. EDIT: The spindles (threaded rods that attach door knobs ended up being a little too long for 3 of my doors - easy fix was bringing them to local hardware store and having them cut down 1/2" each - they then fit perfectly!

This replacement possibly better than the original
Great, sturdy product. One of those "can't believe I got in on Amazon" type of finds. Installation is easy because it was engineered with options for the user in terms of length and pieces to increase stability. This is a good one. And it looks great.

Beautiful
It doesn't show very well in the pictures, but there's an internal design that you can only see if you look into the door knob itself, which is a tiny detail I really like. We live in an old house, and I was delighted to replace our old back door knob with this beauty. Extremely easy to install; it came with screws to tighten the knobs, but they screwed on tight enough that it really wasn't necessary to make it very sturdy.

Well Made
These door knobs look and feel great. Total vintage look that is indistinguishable from the other antique door knobs in my house.Plus, these knobs are very well designed and made. The set screw is driven by a supplied allen wrench that allows you to properly tighten it onto the flat spot on the shaft - which results in a proper and lasting installation.

Thank God I found this knob
Ever try buying a door knob for an original door from a house built in 1945?? Impossible. So, last resort was to check Amazon before buying a whole new door, and THERE it was! Matches the other knobs, crystal clear, rich looking, and it works like the original knob. This item is on my favorite list!

Worked.
Nice looking replacement glass knobs for my door. They were easy to install and did the trick.

Can't give more stars :(
Doorknobs are beautiful, but i ordered 4 and one of them is defective. The screw that tightens the knob is either stripped or not long enough. The other 2 are fine.

Poor quality spindle and threads
The knobs look nice, but the spindle (the threaded “rod” that goes through the door, from one side to other, that the knobs screw onto) is made of very poor quality metal—almost like a pressed tin instead of steel or brass. Also, the threads are not even real threads, but only partial threads. And the internal threads (within each knob) are made of similarly low-grade metal. The overall result is that it is almost impossible to screw the knobs onto the spindle. And the threads, both on the spindle and the knobs, get stripped very easily, rendering the knobs useless. Also, the spindle is about an inch too long. Therefore, even if you can succeed in screwing the knobs on to the spindle (which is incredibly hard to do), they still do not screw in enough to get to the door. So the whole assembly might work for a rare 2” or thicker door, but not for a standard-thickness American door. Do not waste your money on this terribly-made product!
