I avoided an expensive repair
After tracing the old wave guide onto a mica sheet, I found the mica sheet cut nicely with ordinary scissors. The original, burned out waveguide had been installed with stainless pop rivets and silicone sealant. I wasn't able to get the pop rivet fragments out, so I ground them down flush with the surface. I cut the 100% silicone sealant tube point so I'd get a thin bead. I scraped all of the old silicone off there. IN ALL STEPS I MADE SURE I TOUCHED NOTHING THROUGH THE OPEN WAVEGUIDE PORT - SEVERE ELECTRIC SHOCK INJURY POSSIBLE. I ran a thin silicone bead all around the waveguide opening. I pressed the mica piece onto the opening. A day later, the new waveguide is installed securely and I am microwaving away!

Worked for what was needed
I had no idea this product existed until my dad's microwave fell apart when I was cleaning it. I had to cut it to size but was easy to install and fixed the issue without having to replace the whole microwave.

Save my Whirlpool microwave from the dumpster!
Take a while to cut to fit in and it works! One piece is all you need, but well you get 3. Worth every penny. Didn’t have to buy new microwave

Fixed my own microwave!
My microwave started sparking one day and cleaning didn't help. I figured out I needed a new waveform cover, but guess what? The part is no longer available. Ordered this and made my own. Top photo is the original burnt out cover; bottom photo is the one I made to replace it. Popped it in and no more problems. Much cheaper than a new microwave! And this was about the ONLY product I could find that was large enough.
