Good for what I need it to do

I really liked the idea of having a hub that sits close to my laptop so it doesn't get pulled out. I always struggled with ones that have a cord that hangs down from my laptop stand. It would be perfect if I could get all the ports to work. I was able to use all 4 ports for about 1-1/2 weeks. Now only 2 of them work all the time. The other 2 are hit or miss. I always disconnect the hub when I travel with my laptop so it won't get damaged. Not sure why they stopped working.**edit April 22. The hub has stopped working completely. I don't recommend buying it.

Updated review after using it and noticing that different ports have different functions (i.e. only one USB-C port can used for charging, and the other two can be used for simple data transfer or something like wireless mouse connection). Works well, depending on what you need it for.

I received a recent Dell Precision 5560 for work, which only has USB C / Thunderbolt ports, and I have several perfectly fine USB A peripherals I wanted to keep using. I also wanted an adapter solution that would sit flush against the laptop side.Motivations for NOT wanting a gap between the laptop & the adapter (and therefore also excluding adapters with a cable) included:1 - Looks (yep, I am that shallow ;-D)2 - USB C connectors just feel flimsy compared to USB A ones, and many reviews for these C-to-A hubs that do not sport a cable, mention that they need to be handled carefully or they will break.Unfortunately I picked a first unit based in part on slightly misleading pictures (probably just CGI renderings instead of pictures of the real product actually in use) that made it look like it would be perfectly flush with the laptop side: in reality, it had a small black plastic jacket around where its USB C male connector attaches to the hub body, which means there was a gap between the rest of the hub body and the laptop side. In addition the main hub body had slightly rounded sides, which would have made a seamless mating with the laptop side impossible even if the USB C connector could fit fully into the laptop port.This MOGOOD unit has a male connector which is unencumbered by extraneous plastic parts, and the side going against the laptop is flat.The tiny accessories included that are a nice plus in my opinion, are a few small double-sided adhesive stripes: cutting one of those in half length-wise allowed me to secure the MOGOOD hub pretty firmly against the Precision side, and the whole setup feels decently sturdy (the adhesive is quite strong) ...Time will tell I guess, and I will still be careful when plugging / unplugging USB A dongles & peripherals in the hub, but this setup feels like it should survive normal day-to-day usage ...NOTE: I did not look into the bandwidth performance aspect of this hub because that's not important for my own use case.

I purchases this because my laptop doesn't have USB A ports. It works great. The quality and size make it easy to carry. Great value for the money.

Definitely good for the price you pay. Holds steadily against the computer! No problems!!

With the newer laptops you get less connections, not to mention the connections are USB-C. This hub is perfect.

Great wee space saver

Also zuerst den größten Negativpunkt: der USB-Hub zieht ganz schön akkuleistung, dies kann man aber kompensieren indem man ein USB-Kabel an den stromanschluss anschließen tut.Ich wollte ein Adapter mit dem ich Maus und Tastatur am Handy nutzen kann und gleichzeitig das Handy aufladen kann um längere Zeit am Handy schreiben und chatten zu können.Dies ist mit diesem Gerät und wunderbar möglich und ich kann mein Handy zusammen mit einer schönen Halterung auf meinen wohnzimmertisch aufbauen und meine Tastatur und Maus davor platzieren und mir eine Art Mini Computer einrichten.
