2.0T FSI engines tend to consume these followers at a fairly regular pace. Not checking them every other oil change is hazardous to the engine's health. Ordered this part, it is an INA brand (OEM replacement part made in Germany). It fit fine as expected, and I anticipate that it will last about 10 to 15k since the cam on this engine is not in perfect condition. Easy part to check and change. I will have few issues replacing this easy to change and fairly inexpensive part every other oil change if necessary. This is the right one to get, don't get the chinese knock-offs. Poor heat treat is common with those.

This was just what I needed to replace the worn follower on my 2007 VW GTI with the fsi motor. I was replacing the fuel pump and needed to replace the cam follower also. This came quick and fit perfect. This is a much needed maintenance item for your VW.

When I first bought this I was concerned about the quality of it because I really didn't want it to fail. The reviews looked great so I pulled the trigger and installed it. The attached photo is from about 28k miles and 3 years of wear. The coating just started to wear off, but it could have taken a lot more wear before failing. Excellent product, glad to have installed a second one. Keep in mind that I wasn't very hard on the engine, so your results may vary.

Bought this instead of the OEM VW part that was 3x the cost and always fails…. Fits just like the OEM and very easy job to do, make sure to check it after every oil change so your original one doesn’t fail like mine.

It's great the kit is a complete cam follower replacement.

No issues and seems to be working just fine. I should have got a tensioner while I had it all apart because I have a slight noise there after it was all said and done haha
