My First Book of Little Devis : Goddesses of india (Indian Mythology for Children)

This has become my 3 yr old favorite book. She has picked up dome words and want to read it herself now. The language is simple, almost like a poem and the text is perfect size. Images are also very beautiful. Very nice book.

This is a very cute introduction for children to devis. As an ardent devi devotee, when I read it as an adult too, I an always reassured that that divine mother is answering my questions through this words, and always takes care of all I need. I love reading this, with my daughter

What a fantastic book for children! This book helped by son find a way to face some of his fears.Usually, I find that books about Gods have stories of them vanquishing asuras. Those stories are hard to read to little children (quite a lot of fight scenes :)) This book however has Goddesses who are also little like our children.My son LOVED this, and related to them so easily. Little Durga rides a tiger, and with one sound HMM makes fears go away. I found that after reading the book, if he had to go into a dark room I would hear him say HMM HMM or say he is taking Durga with him. How amazing to get a tool like that.This book is A MUST HAVE in your children's libraries. Give the child lovely companions.
