241 Cable Shifter Conversion for Wrangler 03-06 RUBICON ONLY will not work with other models

This was exactly what’s I needed when I installed a Tummy Tuck skid plate on my TJ. It is also a nice piece of you are having issues using the original links that this replaces. I would have rated this a five star, but I took one off as there are no instructions and you have to rely on forums. Also, because there weren’t instructions, I also didn’t know that there was an end that goes to shifter and one that goes to tcase as the ends look VERY similar in size. I found that the smaller of the two goes on the tcase link. This forced me to disassemble to make the correction. Otherwise, yes I’d get this again.

Dinged a star for no directions...in reality for me its no big deal as it does seem almost intuitive as long as you are slightly mechanically inclined and pay attention to what you are taking off and how it connects to the remaining levers. You can also do an online search and find some instruction on Jeep forums and/or the competitor website (almost identical product) to give you a jump start if you need it. It's a very stout piece of equipment and the cable is very smooth.

The cable and brackets are high quality. But there is not enough travel with the factory levers to have full engagement in 2 high and 4 low. The kit needs to come with either a shorter lever for the transfer case, or longer arm for the floor shifter. Removed the kit for fear of messing up the t-case. This is on a 2005 LJ Rubicon.

It would have been easier to install if I had removed more parts (FR Driveshaft) but I was able to manage anyway on my 2003 Rubicon with the help of the wife's nimble hands. It did need re-adjusting after initial install, the first time I had tightened the ends of the cable too far down and it acted like there was not enough travel. It was simple to adjust and has worked no problems, 10/10 would recommend!

Perfect fit no issues. The shifting was greatly improved of the stock linkage. This kit is a must.

Works great, shifts smooth.One note to the other LS1 swapped TJ guys with auto trans: the bracket that attaches to the trans/tcase needed to be trimmed to fit the adapter from my 4L65E to my 241.

The cable install went well on my 2004 Rubicon, and functions as described! I'm extremely pleased with the linkage; smooth operation and much easier shifting. I highly recommend it!

I love the quick disconnects on the ends where it hooks to the transfer case and the shift lever.
