Best Filmjolk!!
Works brilliantly with nonfat milk! It's a pretty fast culture in about 72F.

Very active cultures
I accidentally destroyed my starter and had to start over. These cultures sprang to life almost immediately and worked fast. I make cultured “buttermilk” by mixing a few ounces of reserved buttermilk into cold, unscalded whole or 2% grocery store milk and leaving it on the counter for a few hours or overnight, depending on room temperature. It is pourable, drinkable and more sour & tangy than yogurt. Customer service is extremely fast!

Unique flavor!
I use this to make whole milk yogurt and really enjoy the rich almost sour cream-like flavors this culture gives. It takes a few batches to settle into itself, but makes a wonderfully tart and rich yogurt.

makes a nice yogurt, beware of stomach compatibility
this makes a nice yogurt, creamy and not too sour. some may find it too bland. I enjoyed it but noticed increased stomach issues. I must be able to digest this strain. I will use up what i have for my family then try another. the vendor has many to choose from. it does make a nice sourcream as well or soft cheese

Wonderful mild flavor!
This stuff is wonderful!! I have yogurt, skyr, and sour cream in my fridge right now. All has been going off one batch of yogurt, made with one packet, three months ago. I gave one to a friend, and I still have the third for if I kill off everything somehow. The flavor is lovely. Very smooth and mild; even the skyr, which is notoriously sour, tastes almost like cheesecake. It's foolproof. So easy. I made the first batch in my crockpot, everything since has been in my Instant Pot. The value is great, since you can make unlimited cultured products off one packet. It was my first time making anything cultured thermophilically, except seitan, which I could never get to turn out.

Easy to Make Yogurt Starter - Smooth and Creamy Yogurt That's Not Tart
The NPSelection Nordic Style Yogurt Starter Culture is an excellent option if you're looking to make homemade yogurt that isn't tart at all. Each pack makes 1 liter (4 cups) of yogurt and takes very little effort to make. I used an Instant Pot to incubate my yogurt, found the yogurt could be made the same way that I make homemade yogurt normally. Simply heat your milk to 180 degrees, allow the milk to cool to between 110-116 degrees, whisk in the yogurt starter, then press the "yogurt" button on your Instant Pot and allow the yogurt to ferment. The yogurt firmed up very nicely after the 8-hour fermentation and I found it wasn't tart at all. If you like your yogurt a bit tarter, simply allow it to ferment longer. The yogurt was smooth, creamy, and didn't have any strings or lumps in it. I love how mild the yogurt tasted and the consistency was similar to the cup yogurts I occasionally buy in the store. Each box contains 12 packets of yogurt starter, but you don't need to rely on the starter culture if you want to make additional batches. If you make a batch of yogurt, you can keep a few tablespoons of your finished yogurt to make a new batch. Overall, this is an excellent starter culture that makes a great batch of yogurt. It's definitely worth the cost and something I would purchase again when I need a yogurt starter culture.
