Unique (One of a Kind)
True it only designs one image design but the moving ball Amazingly redesigns itself in a clockwork action, like hands on a clock. It's just large enough so that it doesn't take up a lot of space. It makes it very convenient to find a place for it, even if you're living in a small apartment.I wanted to add a second ball for a second image, reached out to the seller for support and he never got back to me. My problem was that I had trouble lifting the lid as per instructions "to just lift lid." I wanted to place the second magnetic ball on there, I thought maybe for diversity, more is better. So now ten days later, I've grown accustomed to one moving finger design, and it's keeping very happy. Maybe two balls would have been too busy.Anyway, I compensated for the disappointment of not being able to add the second magnet by adding my own LED Multicolor Changing Spotlight at an angle overhead, that works by remote. (24/7). So it's not a big drawback that the Sand Bowl can't be left on all day.Another feature I added was a Triangular tempered glass stand that lies securely on top of the bowl , 15 x 10.2 x3.4 inches. It's a very light Sand Bowl. So it's a safety feature and also adds something to its look, it makes for a spectacular effect.I think overall you would be happy too to have one, if you're thinking about a kinetic sand bowl that's not too big.

So cool!
We use this in a school setting to calm kids going through a heightened emotional state. Watching the sand and magnets is very calming, mesmerizing, and soothing. We might try different colors of sand but the designs alone are awesome!

Nah
Okay, first off I feel like a complete jerk leaving a bad review for this person. I ordered this product as a cheaper option to the Homedics version. Holy disappointment. I was trying to gift this for Christmas to my husband. I did not realize it was 3D printed, I didn't realize there was no top glass, I didn't realize there was no lights, couldn't control the design and had to move the magnetic barring whenever you wanted a new design which I believe there is only 7. Honestly just spend the extra $100 on the real thing. Its worth it.

Strong magnets that move the fine sand well.
Interesting designs that can be created in almost any number of ways. The internal mechanisms are plastic so they tend to be a bit fragile. An improvement would be a transparent cover to discourage small hands or paws.

A little noisy, overheats
When I received this little sand thing, I wasn’t expecting it to be 3D printed. The images are taken in such a way hide that I guess. Either way, it works. It will overheat if you leave it on for extended periods of time. It’s also noisy if there’s nothing else on in the house, but it’s not too bad. It does come with extra magnets and you can use multiple balls at the same time, to make different designs. I wouldn’t pay 160 again for sure with it being 3D printed and hidden with dark photos.
