How to marry a highlander
I found the male lead, a character from How a lady weds a Rogue, Earl Eads most interesting. So of course, I went looking for his story. And as I had hoped, it was/is an enjoyable tale, to be sure.Definitely not your everyday Romance novel storyline. The lead female character is quite refreshing.Along with a hefty cast of supporting characters.I don't want to give away to much of the story, as I want you to enjoy the surprises, as I did.If you like big strong scots and even feistier women. You'll love it.

A Matchmaker Heavenly Novella!
Teresa Finch-Freeworth is enamored with one man, with broad shoulders and beautiful blue eyes, while facing the prospect of marriage to the odious and pious Mr. Waldon. After learning that the Earl of Eads, the man who has filled her thoughts and her dreams these past eighteen months is to be in London seeking husbands for his seven sisters, yes seven of them, Teresa concocts a plan that will either win her the man of her dreams or ruin her forever.Duncan, the Earl of Eads, is a man with a past and a man with a heart that will never love again - if he has his way. Fearful of falling in love and losing another woman to childbirth, Duncan escaped London eighteen months ago after spying the most beautiful woman to cross his path since he lost his beloved wife and son. Now that woman, stubborn, beautiful, tempting and persistent, has offered him a wager that if he loses will make him face his fears and his desire for her.Teresa is determined to win a kiss, a touch, and make love to the handsome Scotsman who stole her heart across a ballroom. With the assistance of her faithful brother, Tobias, she slowly introduces the Scotswomen to London, and to London Society. Luck is with her as each finds love, except one. There is the problem of one sister who has no desire to marry - ever. Will this destroy her chance to win Duncan's heart?I am a huge fan of Katharine Ashe's Falcon Club series and HOW TO MARRY A HIGHLANDER is a wonderful addition to the group even though it is a bit of departure from the normal intensity of romance we are used to seeing from Ms. Ashe. Teresa finds herself in the role of matchmaker extraordinaire with the task of finding husbands for each of Duncan's seven sisters in order to win him as a husband, or so she hopes. Katharine introduces us to a wonderful group of women, all with different personalities and assets. Poor as church mice, with no hopes for marriages back in Scotland, these seven young women need all the help they can get, and Teresa becomes their fairy godmother/matchmaker.As usual, Katharine's characters are full of life. There's humor, some touching moments, jealousies, and a few accidents that some of us might be able to relate to in our own experiences. We are blessed with visits from Lady Heliotrope Beaufetheringstone, whom some of you may know if you visit The Ballroom Blog, as well as the handsome and debonair, Mr. Derek Knightly from Maya Rodale's The Writing Girl Series. This novella is an adventure beyond just being a romance between two people, it's matchmaker heaven.I enjoyed this novella so much, even though the time that Duncan and Teresa was not as much as I would've liked, the story was delightful, the characters intriguing and lively, and Duncan was ... well, Duncan, a man of few words. I would love to read more regarding this handsome Scotsman and his seven effervescent sisters.I highly recommend HOW TO MARRY A HIGHLANDER by Katharine Ashe to anyone who loves romance in numbers and a good matchmaking story.

Fun Story About Seven Scottish Lasses Who Need Husbands
I loved the originality of this story. Brave, reckless, fanciful Miss Teresa Finch-Freeworth, can't get a certain gentleman off her mind. He's Duncan, the Earl of Eads, and he made sizzling eye contact with her 18 months ago at a London ball - the only man to ever look across the room into her eyes as opposed to checking out her bosom. When her parents decide they will marry her off to the tight a$$ local vicar, all it takes is for Teresa to learn Lord Eads is back in London with a pack of sisters - seven in all - to try and find husbands for them to give her the impetus she needs to take drastic measures. She heads out for London and immediately chases him down with a proposition that he finds really difficult to turn down. She will help all his sisters find husbands within a month, but there are some things Lord Eads must do for her - rather, "to" her along the way.To say Teresa is a normal young lady of her time or even one who is regularly portrayed in regency romance novels would be stretching it. She wants kisses from Lord Eads, she wants to be touched in a disrespectful manner, she wants him to bed her and if she can get all the sisters married off, she wants him to marry her.The fun part is seeing how everything eventually works out for the sisters and of course ultimately for Teresa and Lord Eads. Teresa's brother, Tobias, is on hand to watch over his sister, help her in her endeavors, and even manages to fall in love himself. Fun story. Lord Eads and Teresa were also in How a Lady Weds a Rogue: A Falcon Club Novel . I didn't actually connect the dots until after I realized that Wyn and Diantha were acquainted with Lord Eads and Teresa. I had to go back and spot read their story and then remembered the somewhat shady characterization of Lord Eads in that book. Hard to reconcile him as portrayed in this book. He was definitely more likeable in this story.

Absolutely wonderful
A wonderful tale with humour and a highlander that any woman would trade places with Theresa to be in her shoes. His sister's were a handful, but who wouldn't want to spend time in this families company? As for Duncan himself, just the right touch of rogue meets sexy charismatic hero.Highly recommended.

Fun romantic read
I stayed up late reading this book and really enjoyed it. It was full of fun and the romantic bits were of the tingly sort. I could see myself re-reading it in the future.
