Absolutely loved this book because it is written about something I had knowledge of growing up in Perth, W.A. and most of the names mentioned were very familiar, plus having lived in Sydney many of the people who were from the east coast I had heard of over the years. Could not put the book down once I started reading it, and in fact may read it again at a future date! Have recommended it to so many people and in fact bought another one from you as a birthday present for my cousin's birthday as she worked for Ron Cannon (LAWYER) who is mentioned quite frequently in this book.Brilliant book and believe so much research must have gone into it, congrats to the author.

Investigative journalism into corruption and murder in 1970s Western Australia.
A highly complex subject that has required dedication and courage to investigate. The characters and Wild West of Perth in the 1970's come to life, though you need to concentrate to keep a handle on all the people involved, but simplifying into a movie script would lose the essential detail. Well done.

She has done a lot of work on the subject however I felt she was trying to justify herself. Some of so called witnesses I felt were not truthful.

Investigative journalism at its best
Dirty Girl is a gripping read that, like Chloe Hooper’s The Tall Man—which exposes endemic police corruption and cover-up of an aboriginal death in custody in Queensland—reveals the extraordinary courage of the author and the vital importance of investigative journalism in uncovering corruption and revealing truth. Dirty Girl also gives readers a deep insight into the historical, political and financial forces behind corruption. The book is a powerful reminder to all of us that the price of freedom, democracy and a society that follows the rule of law is a well-informed public and eternal vigilance.
