Red for the win!
I ordered 2 sketching sets. Mostly I need tonreplace a.pencil roll. The set with red pencils (this item) and the one with bare wood have the identical pencil roll. The red set with 27 pieces is $9.99 at time of purchase, while the other is 29 pieces and $14.50.The care in assemblage in the red set is superior tonyhe other. Obviously i expected pencil type duplicates. The red set was organized by lead type, and in order. I ordered and sorted the other set...which was randomly duplicated and out of sequence.Given that alone, I would suggest purchasing this set with the red pencils. It is 4.51 cheaper and put together with better attention.

Great beginners set
This set has so many pencils! Love the 3 sizes of blending tools and multiple erasers. Not sure what one of the tools does (has a hole on each end, maybe for holding short pencil nubs?). The wrap is strange b/c there is one snap on the inside that has nothing to attach to, and the wrap strap has 2 snaps, but only the shorter one can be used so there's loose strap hanging off. Other than that, great set!

An inspiring gift
Bought this for a gift for a teenage girl. When she opened the case, she was amazed at the variety of pencils and art tools. She's enjoying exploring the properties of the different graphite and charcoal pencils. It's inspiring her to draw.

It's very easy to use
They seem okay so far. I expected the shades to be a bit more vibrant but they are a good qualityfor the price. Also the eraser doesnt work to well. Maybe for a very soft highlight it would be good for.

I gifted this to my little sister who is just now starting to show an interest in drawing. She loves how portable it is.

There is a sharp blade enclosed
My 12 year old son really likes the set however, he cut his finger on the cutter provided. I didn't like that the blade of the sharpener was not convered.
