INFJ 101: How to Understand Your INFJ Personality and Thrive as the Rarest MBTI Personality Type Paperback – April 3, 2017

I have so much trouble interacting with people of this personality type, but their depth and sincerity mean so much to me at first. I usually attract friends with my quirky personality. Then, INFJs need extended alone time and I take personal offense.This book helped me to understand that wanting even extended alone time is not an insult towards me personally. Hopefully, the knowledge will help me be less toxic with INFJs in the future. :(I'm close to the "INFJ Door Slam" with a new INFJ in my life-- I'm at the stage where the INFJ still responds to messages, but barely. The INFJ sometimes initiates but very rarely. I have a feeling that the INFJ finds something about me toxic (even though I gave 10 days without messaging recently as a break for the person). It's very sad to me as we were previously very close.It's also hard to know when life circumstances are causing the INFJ to be distant versus something that I did. . . it's especially hard because INFJs don't like confrontation so directly asking them or being accusatory doesn't work well.

Being an INFJ, I found myself within the pages of this book. Though many INFJs may differ in the intensity of these traits, they exist in us all to some degree. I was pleased to find a book to help me understand myself better, as I have always felt that I did not fit in and felt that Something was wrong with me. Now I understand that I am unique and I see my personality as a blessing rather than a curse. Since a more mature understanding has emerged, I find that I am starting to use the attributes I was gifted with more confidently. INFJs are difficult to understand and I think this book will help with the INFJ in your life or help INFJs accept themselves as the treasure they are.

I recommend this book to those wanting to better understand those who are categorized as INFJ personalities according to the Meyers Brigg's personality inventory. It provides an excellent overview of each facet of the INFJ label into neatly-organized chapters. I particularly appreciated Ms. Rossum's review of of introversion and the dispelling of common misconceptions made about introverts versus extroverts. Being introverted does not preclude someone from demonstrating strong social skills and affability and it would be premature to confer a personality type strictly on that criteria.While the overall tone of the book is objective and professional, it would have been beneficial for the book to have include some real-world examples or some personal anecdotes to better illustrate the core concepts the author covers in each chapter to those readers who are not INFJs or otherwise not inclined towards introverted-type mindsets. Nevertheless, I deeply empathize with and appreciate the nature of Ms. Rossum's efforts to present a detailed and balanced overview of what it means to be INFJ.

Good book for the subject. Quick read. Don’t read only this book though, there are better ones that cover this subject matter.

I loved how easy to read and easy to understand this book is! It was good to see how better to understand and relate to people of the INFJ personality type and, specifically, with a close, personal friend of mine...to understand her better is to understand how to make our relationship work better and this book provided the opportunity to do just that! I highly recommend it and it was a VERY worthwhile read! I loved it!

I got the general idea of INFJ personality and how they connect with others from this book. But I am looking forward to the deeper analysis of this type.

This is a good overview but for someone like me who is looking for far more in-depth views about INFJ, this wasn’t for me. It’s very similar to everything already written on the internet. However, I will say this, if you just found out you are an INFJ, this is a great place to start!

This book is a helpful tool for those looking to deepen their understanding of their own personality or to better connect with the introverts in their life. The concepts discussed provide genuine insight about the unique minds of INFJs, how they relate to their peers, and their desire to live an authentic and passionate life.

Good content but I was shocked at how short the book was, especially for the price paid. Feel a bit ripped off. It was more like a long essay and should have been half the price.

Book is less thorough than most web sites. Very dissapointed in how little information it had.
