R9 is well made glove for pre-teen and early teenagers who doesn't want to spend $300+ for their second/alternate posotion. My son plays CF majority of time plus pitch. But since he is Lefty throwing, he gets to play 1st base occasionally. Instead of spending loads of money to get him a2000 or hoh for his alternate position, R9 foray baseman glove is perfect in value and quality. Very well made with decent leather. Excellent option for kids playing early teen travel teams.
