I am going to be one of those people who say, “they never leave a review...” because it’s true.I had to review this item because it’s simply amazing. My 4.5 year old is obsessed. Each item in the kit is high quality. They are individually boxed within the storage container, making it fun for him to open.The best part is that we can store everything in the tin box when we are doing exploring. My son’s personal favorites are the binoculars (comes with a string to wear around neck), small fan (batteries included!), and the compass (contains a whistle in case you got lost...I mean cmon!)Great buy! I plan on buying it for future birthday gifts!

Absolutely great little product! My folks bought it as a birthday present for my 8 year old son. It comes in a cute little lunch box package & each tool is in it's own box. Everything fits together perfectly & it's easy to take with us everywhere... and believe me.. he takes it everywhere! They are actual quality tools but are made for little hands & are durable. Only the fan requires batteries. I strongly recommend this product as a gift for any little explorer, nature lover or bug & animal enthusiast! Great buy for the money.. totally exceeded my expectations!

Arrived on time and my 5 year old loves it. The 3 year old really enjoys the whistle (adequately loud but not as annoyingly shrill as most whistles). On rainy days my kids use the flashlights to chase each other around the house in the dark. Surprisingly good toys. Clear magnifying glasses. Easy to adjust binoculars. The multi tool alone is worth the price. Hand fan is cute but beware of long hair. Crank flashlights are very bright, but like all crank flashlights don't have high expectations for longevity. After the internal battery dies I'll keep it as an emergency light. The crank should be enough light to find the matches and candles ;). One of the boxes came with a slight dent that was easily fixed due to the flimsy metal and the clasps occasionally slip.Overall I would highly recommend this as a gift for kids 5+.

Our 4 year old birthday boy was thrilled!

I was slightly confused as to what age group this was good for. The listing says 4-7, and some reviews stated it was for a 3 year old. Based upon that, I felt comfortable purchasing this for my 4 year old grandson..Once i received the item ,I noticed on the front was marked age 6+. Items are good quality, just note the age listed on item. There are batteries included in the box, so i had to grab those before he saw them, and the flashlight which you need to pump quickly with your hand to make it work , is a little hard for him to do on his own yet...Great product and quality. Good for 4 yrs with supervision, better for 5+ I believe

My 3 year old daughter likes everything in the kit. I like that it’s educational and can help her learn life skills. She likes the pretend play.My only complaint is one day I saw her playing with small batteries. That freaks me out! She is still putting things in her mouth. Then I found that it’s the battery cover from the fan is loose. She can easily open it up with her little finger. My solution is to tape the cover, since she won’t be that skillful to remove the tape.

IF you're like us, you have no shortage of toys in the house — legos, Paw Patrol, stuff animals, etc etc etc. So when birthday No. 3 came around, we went looking for something a bit different. That's when we found the Explorer Kit. I knew it would be perfect. Our son loves walking the trails in the woods near our how. Now he has the perfect little companion to make those hikes even more entertaining. The binoculars are definitely his favorite, the multi-tool with the whistle being second. The little carrying case is great. Each of the included pieces is well built. Take the fan for instance: We have one from work and this little one for kids works infinitely better than that one.
