Draper 12543 Soft Grip Mini Side Cutters

This is a great little Draper side cutter. Used these for many years and regularly use them, lose some of them and replace them when worn out. Always replaced them with another Draper pair. Perfect for the job and nowhere near as expensive as some other makes.

Overall they are quite comfortable to hold and cut stuff with while testing them I actually dented a 20p coin with little force but when I cut stuff like wires they get stuck shut a lot id say like 70% of the time which makes it uncomfortable when you are trying to strip a wire while holding it. It came quite rough with the metal scratched up and the plastic seams quite large but they work well for stripping and cutting wires I feel like my problem about them getting stuck will fade with use but the only other thing I think could be better is the edge of the cutting heads could be sharpened a bit nicer as they have a very rough look on them. Overall I feel like these would last at least a couple of years and as long as you don't use them on massive things and just on 2 mil and under wire you'll be good with them.

I keep it in my gig bag for cutting guitar strings. Does the job nicely.

A neat well-finished Item with sharp blades. I purchased it to cut nickel silver OO gauge model railway track as an alternative to more expensive cutters. Sadly the blades were not up to the job, and blunted quickly. For dealing with softer materials like copper wire they would be OK, but I think this is very much a case of you get what you pay for!

These arrived very quickly and well packed. They are comfortable to hold and a spring ensures that the jaws are open all the time until you compress the handles to cut something. I bought these to help me fit new brake cables to my bicycle, but i found them unable to cut the cable cleanly. I stress that this is not the fault of the tool, it's the user! Probably meant more for light electrical wiring jobs than anything heavier...?

Ideal for modeling jobs. Good value for money.

Bought these for restringing guitars cuts the strings perfect and small enough to keep in the guitar case pocket well pleased!

Do not buy, item is of the poorest quality, damaged handles, metal burrs all over the cutting mechanism, just complete trash.

Es pequeña buen acabado en cuchillas (pero no en gomas le quedo la union de ellas aunque no molesta queda feo pero se puede cortar ) Al principio va rigida, con el uso ablanda sino usar crc mecanico
