Piergiacomi PG-TRE03NB Flush Cut Side Cutter 138mm

Picked this up to cut cable ties cleanly and it did the job perfectly. Very sharp and easy to apply pressure for it to do the job. A little on the small side for bigger hands but perfectly fine for almost everyone. Quality is pretty decent for the price and it won't break apart after extensive use. Only thing is that the jaws will remain open with no locking mechanism so I'd advise storing it a bit safer than other similarly sized tools just in case.

I bought these cutters for jewellery making purposes and find them brilliant for ease of use and performance. I am very pleased with these as they are easy on the hands and the blades are sharp and flush, which makes it easy to cut the 22g wire and 19-strand stringing wire in tight spot and close to the beads etc. They are spring loaded, perfect size for my hand and leave no sharp points. I wouldn’t use these cutters for memory wire because any thicker/tougher types of wire will damage their blades (use ordinary cutters for this instead). Overall, these are amazingly cheap, really nice quality wire cutters. I am ordering another 2 or 3 of these just to make sure I'm never without. Highly recommend! :)

These really are a great asset in anyone’s toolbox,great flush cutters for cables ties ( no nasty sharp edges ) and also great at trimming fine cables.Excellent value for money compared to RS .My last pair of these lasted over 7 years.cannot recommend them enough

Difficult to review these side cutters - they are extremely good value, well made and functionally fine, but, I don't really like them.. I have a (old and very tired) pair of Lindstrom cutters which are just fab, but mine are knackered so was hoping to replace with these Piergiacomi ones. I don't know whether it's just because I am very used to the Lindstrom cutters but the Piergiacomi are just, well, clunky and feel awkward in comparison. This is probably unfair: you would probably be perfectly pleased with these if they are your first pair, or your are upgrading from something cheap and cheerful - they really are fine! but for me I think I need to bite the bullet and fork out for another pair of (eyewateringly expensive!) Lindstroms, and donate these Piergiacomis to a colleague..

I actually chose these cutters last year but forgot to put an order in, and also mislaid the page I had written the name down on. I have about 4 flush/side cutters all in dark blue and none of them last, so I decided to take another search and these popped up again. Due to the good reviews, I decided to take a chance and yes I am very pleased with them. For one, they are a completely different colour so easy to find in my boxes, and two, yes they appear to cut the wire well. I haven't used them much because only received them on 20th February, but after trying they seem to be fine, so very pleased with such a cheap purchase, and Italian too! What a bargain!

Good quality product. The handles are made of a quality material and not some cheap sickly rubber. They feel firm and reassuring and don't feel like they might slip off or start to wear away. The blades are sharp and are made from a treated metal. The fact that they are flush makes it easy to cut close to components on a circuit board when soldering thru-hole. The build is really strong and should last long if you stick to the recommended gauges of wire i.e.16 Awg and thinner. They are Made in Italy and they look it as well. Really amazing for the price.

These are a 2nd pair I bought for home after owning the original pair for over 5 years. The original pair have took some serious abuse and still never fail to cut cleanly. I have had to give them a touch on the grinder/belt sander to sharpen the edge though but thats probanly more my own fault. Main reason I didn't buy a better well known brand was back then, I lost tools on a regular basis but this doesn't happen quite as much. Between these and a more expensive set i bought last year there isn't much difference. Don't let the lack of brand name put you off. These are cheaper and if not just as good a set of cutters than most brand names being twice as expensive.

I basically bought these for cutting cable ties flush and it does the job perfectly.
