Cupboard Staple Amazing Product Trustworthy Company
This stuff is amazing and I only buy from this company. It works by coating your gastrointestinal tract and loading it with minerals, so for human adults a teaspoon in a glass of warm water will take away pain in 30 mins and sort out your tummy. Two teaspoons in warm water for food poisoning. For cats, a pinch mixed in with wet food works wonders. My vet said many people use this for IBS and as it's natural it doesn't interfere with meds. Tastes nutty btw, so it's quite pleasant to drink.

Good product
Hard to mix but when you get used to it, it is a great product. You can really feel the quality, very thick and does the job. Not a great taste but needed must

Studies are showing it's great for intestinal healing but it doesn't taste great! lol
I have been using Indigo Herbs Slippery Elm Powder to make tea, and to be honest, the taste and smell aren't that great, but I'm willing to overlook that because of the potential benefits it offers.Scientific research suggests that slippery elms can be great for the intestinal tract and aid in the healing process. This is one of the reasons I decided to give this product a try.Slippery elm has been used for various purposes throughout history. It has been used by Native Americans for its soothing properties and to relieve coughs and sore throats. It has also been used topically to treat skin conditions.Personally, I have been using this slippery elm powder to see if it would help with my bile acid malabsorption condition. Unfortunately, I haven't noticed any significant changes yet and the taste is earthy and leaves a lot to be desired....just chug it down and get it over and done with! Lol

This product has changed for the worse!! DISGUSTING!
Initial review: The doctor initially prescribed Lansoprazole for GERD but on week two I started experiencing terrible headaches so stopped and thought I'd give Slippery Elm a shot. And my goodness what an absolute miracle it is. My symptoms have abated and there are days where I don't even have to take the Slippery Elm (I take a teaspoon a day). I was somewhat apprehensive due to the negative comments about lumpy mixtures etc but there's a knack to it. You need to initially mix your Slippery Elm with a taste of either cold water or cold milk (I also add a tsp of honey to the powder first) and when you add the hot water don't add it straight from boil. Wait for the boil to settle, about 15 seconds and then pour it in a bit at a time, all the while mixing it. It should be still liquid when you're done. Let it sit for a minute or two and it thickens up into a nice gloopy consistency. Enjoy!CURRENT REVIEW: I don't know what you have done to make this product disgusting but whatever it is, DON'T! I've just tried a cup of it and it's grainy like sand. I'm so annoyed because this worked a treat every time I got it before. And with a flare up I was looking forward to the relief I'd get from it only to find you have changed it with no mucilage at all. Why do producers do that? If it's not broken don't fix it.

Superior quality- soothes bladder and gut
This is good stuff- darker in colour and smells earthier and stronger than others I've tried. I find it often calms my painful bladder down, which I think is IBS related. I would recommend mixing a half to a whole teaspoon of it with a small splash of warm water in a mug- the warmth helps it mix well. Mix it well into a 'mud', until very smooth. Then you can top up slowly with cold water, milk or plant milk, continuing to stir. Topping up with (eg. Rude Health) almond milk adds a bit of natural sweetness which makes it more palatable. I still down it though. It's very soothing, and I will continue to buy it from Indigo Herbs, as I think it's better quality than most others.

How to use it?
There are no instructions on the packet on how to prepare this product or when is the best time of day to have it.My efforts turned out much like other posters photos. Could not get it to blend in at all. Should the powder go first then the liquid. Is it safe to take with prescribed medication. This may be a good product but we need to know how to use it!

Give the Slippery Elm time to work.
Extremely well packaged, take's a bit of time to get used to the smell if you are going to have it in a drink. I now put mine on my Porage Oats at whatever time of day I have them. It is difficult to give my opinion as to how well Slippery Elm works. I will update further down the line.
