DigiTech TRIO Plus Band Creator Guitar Pedal With Looper

I've only used if for a short while but so far I'm very impressed with this item. I'm sure it will help me develop my very basic guitar skills and make learning fun. The device itself is very sturdy and well made so should stand the test of time.Update: I've been using this pedal for a few days and just had to update this review with a word of caution.....perhaps I received a dodgy unit but mine seems to interfere with the normal progression of time. On Christmas day, I had put the Turkey on to cook and decided to have a little noodle. After five minutes of Trio time, about two hours of real time elapsed. Only for my wife shouting through the noise of base, drums and my horrendous guitar playing was I released from the clutches of Trio's alternate time universe, just in time to save Christmas dinner. Then just this morning I picked it up again, and when I finally put it down I found I had a beard, a head of grey hair and my kids had grown up and moved out. You have been warned....Amazon Packaging Fail : The packaging is another matter. When I ordered this, I missed the note that said it would be shipped in packaging that would reveal what is inside. What this actually means is that it will not be shipped in any packaging at all except for the retail box (pretty box) the item comes in. Not only that, the retail box itself is not sealed in any way (no film wrap, or even a sticker), so the box is easily opened and the device removed. How it made it to me in one piece or still in the box I'll never know. Slapped to the retail box is the packaging label which is not easy to remove (I eventually got it off with white spirit and effort without damaging the box too much). While I understand Amazon is trying to cut down on packaging, why send me a phone screen protector worth £5 in a box when it already packaged in a hard plastic case, and not a £150 piece of electronics equipment!!!

What a brilliant little pedal.For the size of almost a standard effects pedal this is an excellent way to either practice on your own or as a one man band and have bass and drums accompaniment to create a better playlist.Basically you teach the pedal by strumming in simple chord structure for either the whole song or as individual parts of the song (recommended) and the pedal gives you a bass and drum line which you can then alter for each part to your own preference using the style and genre settings as well as adjusting the tempo.The sound levels for bass, drums and looper can be individually set too.The looper works great as well and can have separate loops for each part.It does take a bit of getting used to especially the timing but the time and effort learning how to use this is well worth it.Get one - it won't get drunk or throw its dummy out of the pram :-)

You can also put effects into the mix, though as this is mono, any stereo effects will be hobbled.The in built effects are OK, but nothing to write home about. Though a cheap multi effect system will give you a better experienceYou can save five parts to your track, and the sequencing means you can play each part multiple times in any order. In addition you can save a number of tracks on the included sd card.It has two line outs, one that goes direct to the guitar amp, and one which moves the drums and bass to a mixer. Both of these are mono outputs, but with some creative cabling I managed to get the unit hooked up to a sound bar for the drum and bass with my amp providing the guitar sound.You can also get a three switch additional pedal for about £20, but it is not necessary, just makes it a lot easier to operate when playing.Well worth it for the money, especially if you don't get to play with other musicians often.

I was looking for a looper for simple riffs to play over. After lioking at many, I found this with built in bass guitar and Drum patterns. Why have a simple looper when you have a band in a box?Setting up is super easy. It comes with a 16gb SD memory card for memory saving.There are many combinations for playing and tweaking with.One of the best Guitar pedals out there and simple to use, but, read the easy to follow manual as many features can be overlooked. I hate intricate stuff, this makes music easy and leaves it to the user to complicate their needs.My kids use it as a drum and bass creator, just by turning nobs and pressing buttons it is that easy to use..I can see the price being a deciding factor but it is worth every pound spent.Built like a brick it is solid and secureIn short, a must for guitarists whether live or bedroom superstars.

Had this unit since June 2016, been used quite a few times to make backing tracks for practice & even small gigs if the Drummer or Bass player was not available. Bit more awkward though, as it can't see you, as the other band members can. So you have to stick to what it is playing & you can't blame the Drummer or the Bass man for any mistakes like you usually do?After all this time there is obviously limitations noticed, which could be implimented with an updated model in the future perhaps. But it is an amazing & unique tool if you treat it as a tool. For example when playing a part, make it simple and basic, you are not recording your guitar, just putting down a drum and bass track to fit your key and tempo. You can play your guitar master piece over the backing track when you play it back?There is just one bug for me and that is, that over time (approx 18 monthst) the print on top starts to wears off, if it were only engraved it would have been 100%. Obviously for me I know more or less after all this time without to much thinking involved, what each knob and button does, but I have had to put tape along the top and mark it up for anyone else using it in the studio. Good buy all the same.

Con este pedal nunca encuentro escusas para no practicar con la guitarra, es pura diversión y trabajo al mismo tiempo. No puedo estar más satisfecho con el, es mucho más fácil de usar de lo que había leído en los foros, llevaba un año pensado en comprarlo y no me dicidia por lo que leia en foros sobre la dificultad y que las líneas de bajo no coincidían o arruinaban el loop de guitarra, etc. Pues un año perdido así de claro, es súper fácil y el bajo me coincide muy bien, claro que grabo primero con metrónomo y toco todo muy claro y sin florituras, eso ya viene después. En fin un pedal único.

This wonderful device is indeed a band Creator.If you are a solo artist ( guitar and vocals) This is the one for you.This unit can listen to your rhythm and choose a drum pattern and bass pattern for you.There are many settings like blues to Jazz style,tempo( 4/4,or 4/4), recording,bass riff or bass guitar and looper for guitar chords.If you practice well( intially you may have teething problems) you can go confidently and play a gig anytime. A freelancing solo artist will never regret buying this fantastic unit.
