Comfortable
Nice and light but still supportive. Liked that it is breathable as my arm was initially in a pot which was sweaty anyway - used the sling with the pot and for a period afterwards as still needed to keep wrist elevated when out and about

Not quite right.
Having broken my humerus just below the shoulder joint the hospital in France put me in a medieval instrument of torture - a thick, hot, too large , open elbow, arm sling plus body ,strapping and told me to keep it on 24/7 for four weeks. It was so uncomfortable, mainly because all the straps kept slipping so that I wasn't supported at all even though i was sleeping sitting up, that I ordered this one to be able to use when i got back home and it was delivered very promptly the day I arrived. The fabric part itself is very comfortable and I am much happier with it than the first but I have had trouble with the strap. First it does not stay in position as in the photograph and my arm slips backwards meaning that the strap pushes against my neck at the front chafing it and half choking me meaning that I have to keep pulling it over and it wakes me when I fall asleep.Another problem is the velcro fastening to shorten the strap. The velcro has very sharp rigid plastic edges which cut into my neck at the back. A friend has shaved these edges down as much as possible to try to make the velcro attach within the width of the underneath strap but because it joins at the full width of the upper strap it isn't completely possible although it is now much better. I still have to push a cloth between the strap and my neck to cushion it.This problem could be eliminated if the underneath strap was wider allowing the full width of the velcro to attach to the padded part leaving a margin at either side or the velcro being narrower. It strikes me as a classic case of not testing properly before manufacturing. I'm just hoping that I won't have to use it for too long.

"IMPORTANT: All slings should support the hand fully and extend to middle of little finger."
The product itself is fine and good quality and probably okay for a teenager or small adult, but it's no good for a ln adult (I'm 6ft). I'm docking a point because it was no good for my use but an additional 2 points because the description was inappropriate. The picture shows length to 45 cm at middle of your little finger or rolling back to shorten. 45cm would be fine for me.But this is only shade over 30 cm max at normal tension. At a stretch (literally) it went further with the thumb loop over my thumb stretching it lengthwise, but then the fabric support still stops 4cm back from that point where the thumb loop stops... You know where the crook of your thumb become palm of your hand and 4cm back from that is..... You guessed it... your wrist. . Also the thumb loop is literally over your thumb which creates tension into the crook of your thumb, rather than looping over your hand and spreading the load over the pad of your hand. Finally anyone who's been in a hammock knows the maximum tension is at the seams. So this means that's where this sling applies the pressure unless you move the support back to be closer to the middle of your forearm. So then either bottom of wrist gets pressure applied right on the wrist bones when you relax, or the forearm aches when you lift the weight to reduce the pressure. Also the tension in the loop into the crook of your thumb gets painful after a while.I should have spotted that the picture used a young girl for the illustration but I saw it was loose and assumed the measurements were correct and it was fit for an adult - but I was wrong.

Brilliant
Bought these for my mum after her stroke she became bed bound and disabled in one arm. This has helped her keep her arm in place and be comfortable in bed with it.Ended up buying two for changing and washing.

So far so good
Much better than the one my husband left hospital with as that was too short for his arm and had so many straps it was like a medieval torture device crossed with a monkey puzzle. This one encloses his whole arm and has just the one strap, so a lot simpler, but easier to hoist up his arm to elevate, which he needs to do for stabilising his shoulder injury. Lightweight fabric and watch the velcro sticking to everything, but that happens with velcro on any product to be fair. For him, definitely worth the investment vs the hospital one.

I've broken my arm and the hospital sent me home with a bandage sling that was absolutely awful. I couldn't put it on or take off myself. It killed my neck, it was so uncomfortable. Ordered this sling, arrived promptly the next day and I haven't looked back. It is so comfortable considering and it doesn't hurt my neck either. Really easy to get on and off. Cool material too so you wont get a sweaty arm lol!
