Miracle-Gro Water Soluble Lawn Food 2kg

Really makes a difference, grass is really green and healthy, feed it every six weeks or so using the instructions, mixes well and covers my lawn in no time

UPDATE September 2025. After another three application s the newly seeded lawn has filled in noticeably, with thicker coverage and a deeper green colour. I also appreciate that there’s no patchy burn—even where I overlapped slightly—thanks to it being water-soluble and the sprayer. Second photo shows lawn now. I bought this to support the growth of a newly seeded lawn, and it’s worked really well. One of the main advantages is that it’s water-soluble and compatible with the Miracle-Gro sprayer. I much prefer this method over granular feed, as it reduces the risk of burning the grass if too much is applied in one area. Each sachet covers up to 100 square meters and is quick to apply, though the flow rate will depend on your water pressure. After just two applications, I’ve noticed a significant improvement—my lawn is greener and starting to thicken nicely. The instructions are clear, and the sprayer makes application quick and hassle

When I was young, I had no interest in the garden, however the older I get I am really starting to enjoy putting my mark on the outside space. I moved to a new house last year, where the grass had been 4 foot tall and was mostly weeds. I worked on it all summer, however by the following spring although you could see a massive improvement it was a long way from being perfect. Therefore I decided to invest in lawn food. I thought about getting the generic stuff out of the supermarket, however due to the size of the garden this was very expensive. Therefore I researched and decided to give this a try. The box contains several small pouches of the product. Great idea, because you are unlikely to use the full tub in one sitting unless you have a cricket field! Stops the product going off as well. Inside you get a measuring spoon to decant the product into your watering can. Tip - do not be tempted to use more of the product as this will burn the grass! The front lawn was in much better nick than the back, therefore I applied the product once a month on the front, twice a month on the back. This gave thick luscious dark green grass which was the envy of the neighbours! Like with any lawn product, do not apply in wet weather, or drought either as you will not see any difference in your lawn. Ideally you apply the day after rain, as long as the grass is reasonably dry. If it doesn't rain on subsequent days, give it a light watering with the can. Remember this is not a miracle cure (even though it's in the name) as this is basically grass feed. If your lawn is poor it won't make it wonderful overnight. My tip is ensure you keep on top of the scarifying, weed killing and grass cutting. If you do this and then apply this product, you will be amazed.

Can't go wrong with miracle grow the price was good and does exactly as it says. Grass looked really green in a week.

Now the photos provided are of something that I never would've thought would happen this year. You see that corner of the garden gets no light PLUS for 4yrs that area has been covered by layers of old carpet so it's had absolutely no UV light just years of snow & rain covered carpet laying there & the rest of the garden was patchy missing grass so I decided to do something about it & I purchased Grass Seeds (they'll be on my profile) a watering can & a small gardening set (again on my profile). Now the first pic is of the product along with the grass that it's helped grow as I was expecting nothing this year I was hoping for maybe a few millimetres of green just to say next year we'll be up. I was watering before I started to use the Miracle-Gro fortnightly as the garden is very patchy & like in image 2 it's started growing through & you can still see a little of what it was like before plus picture 2 is a pic of something that was completely dried light brown cracked mud say 3-4 months ago with absolutely nothing growing & where it's looking bare that's more like pic 3 now as on my initial go I'd just had a cast removed from my right arm so I just had a go with the belief of nothing & I'm in total disbelief, lovely thick rich green grass, Brilliant, Just brilliant. MADNESS! Look at the photos were it's still patchy & you get the idea of how the state of the entire garden was in, all bald completely in two corners completely dead of life (even insects!) with bald patches everywhere now it's in major need of a cutting which the included video (sorry about the voice, awful) will show you & it’ll also show that it helps the weeds grow too so they have to be dealt with in their own way, Great product though!

Certain small areas did burn the lawn but I think that's because I used to high of a concentration. It's best used diluted and in the little and often method.

This stuff really works, grass grows like mad after putting it on. I've purchased the dispenser you attached to a hose as well to make it easier to use the fertilizer.

This has made a real difference to my tired, patchy lawn, and the improvement was noticeable within weeks. However, it needs to be used with care. Over-concentrate it and it will scorch the grass; recovery takes a long time. I made the mistake of emptying the weak-looking remnants of a bottle directly onto the lawn and ended up with a charred line that is still recovering four months later. Used correctly, though, it is very effective.

I have no idea how much environment, type of grass, weather, matter on the products used to fertilize your lawn but for me this stuff was like giving my lawn steroids. I keep my lawn very short so mowing is more frequent but with this product I literally was mowing my lawn every two days. If you do not like to mow your grass do not feed it this Miracle-Gro product. If you want a deep green, extremely strong and healthy lawn then get this stuff and use if every couple of weeks. It really is amazing.

It is a rough summer here in Germany. I am going to see if this will help with the Yucca powder. But Miracle Gro is a name I can trust from when I was a kid. I am 50 now...

Used this product to fertilize my front lawn, no problems to mix or apply very simple product to use.
