Dudu Osun Tropical African Black Soap, 6 x 150g

I don't ever write reviews, but I found the reviews here really helpful in giving this a try, so I'm repaying the kindness to you, dear reader. I hope this helps somebody interested in Dudu Osun to treat skin issues.I'm a mid 30s white man with longstanding skin/health issues, have tried loads of things, including various steroid creams on prescription from a UK doctor, even the stronger ones not working.I was a little hesitant, but had nothing to lose. Most info I found was on YouTube and Amazon was around use as a regular soap by mostly black/African people, and a few people saying this may harm/dry your skin so I was unsure..What I did:I opened the pack of six, these bars have a scratch of serial number to prove they are authentic.I washed my sore scaly hands (with open cuts) in cold water. Yes, it stings a little but so does regular soap.The soap gets a really thick lather, and I think smells good. I wash thouroghly, and repeat each time I go to the bathroom/need to wash hands. In total, day one I used approx 8-10 times. After most washes, I use Cetraben/Aqueous cream, but not all. At night, THE TERRIBLE ITCHING HAS STOPPED SOMEHOW.Day two, after a great sleep, I notice some results already, scaly area reduces, flaky area subsiding. I'm really shocked, and incredibly happy. I continue to wash many times a day, creaming hands after most times. I'm super happy. Hands look better, and I'm a lot happier. It's still there but I get far less skin rubbing off when I rub together. PEOPLE NOTICE THE CHANGE ALREADY!Day three, my hands look almost normal, skin tone is evening on what used to be big patches of angry red scales/flakes. The itching still hasnt come back to amything like how it was before, and I can bend all fingers without discomfort, for the FIRST TIME IN OVER A YEAR. I'm astounded at how good this soap has been for me. I'm shocked and delighed, and am using my new found finger dexterity to post this review, in the hope it helps someone else, especially someone on the fence about trying. ALL THIS IN THREE DAYS ONLY!Oh, as a BONUS, it also cured my dandruff and itchy scalp, as I'm using it as a shampoo/shower bar too.. I think it's even curing the scars and spots on my upper body.This stuff is AMAZING, I'm so very happy with my "Juj" soap. Please do try this if you have skin issues that won't go away. Buy it for people you know with skin issues. Buy it even if you don't have issues just because it's great.

Makes my face feel fresh

These are one of the best soaps I have ever used on my skin. My skin feels so soft and clean. Well worth the buy.

So - i usually NEVER write a review, but i took quite some time in reading the reviews before purchasing this soap, and thought its only fair i write one so others can hopefully benefit/make an informed decision too.Background: African decent, never really had to worry about skin care/having a skin care regime, but as im aging i've noted that my skin is getting bad "by my own standards" and thought i'd take thing a little more seriously.So i bought the Soap approx 2 weeks ago, (today is the 15th Aug) and started using it immediately. (now i must add there are a combination of products im using, but ill mention that at the end). With regards to the black soap, a few things to note:1. it can/will produce a black residue as its being used, so be prepared to be constantly cleaning the bath.shower after usage. It doesn't stain, but i guess its probably not a nice thing to see if someone is using the shower after you.2. The smell of the soap is fine, it has a ting of antiseptic scent about it, like its actually doing something properly and not just lathering up and smelling "rosy".3. if you have any minor cuts / open pores / aggravated skin - it may sting a little when applied. It wont burn, but you'll quickly know if you've an open cut / scratch somewhere on your face if you weren't already aware.4. After 1st use, i found my face feeling exceptionally clean and smooth, there wasn't any noticeable difference other than that (UPON FIRST USE). In-fact my skin felt so clean that i was worried that it was a little too clean and would result in me breaking out. (for those with oily skin, im sure you'll understand)5. I have used the soap twice a day for the past few weeks and i can genuinely say that there has been a noticeable improvement on the overall feel of less oil on my face, my pores are certainly not as clogged as they were prior to use, and i have noted that some blemishes that i've had (previously acquired from open sores when pilling out in-growns) have started to fade.6. The prevalence of in-growns that i usually get after having a hair cut have reduced significantly (i have a beard) - in fact, i currently have none that i can feel or see, which is a sign of good skin health & regeneration.All in all i can say:PRO'S:1 - this soap has significantly improved the overall look and feel of my face.2 - It has helped to reduce and tone out the existing bleminshes i had3 - its brightened my skin to a degree4 - for a pack of 6, for under £10 - its a Bargain!Cons:1 - Black residue = constant cleaning, but that can never be a bad thing2 - If it gets in your eyes - you will suffer! so AVOID residue running into eyes (as you would with all other soaps)3 - Im African by heritage do the scent of the soap is "normal" to me, however if youre used to the likes of Dove, Imperial and all those other commercial soap, you'll need to adjust your senses. (its really not that bad, but each to their own)Earlier i mentioned that there were other products that i used in conjunction - and its important to note that prior to using the soap i also use a small pea-sized amount of Kiehls Facial fuel energising scrub - for men. It allows me to gently scrub away the dirt/pollution that hits your face on a day to day basis before using the soap. This is of course a personal preference, i am in no means endorsing that product, and you can use whatever suits you personally; but so far a combination of the two seems to be giving me the intended results i wanted.Oh and i apply the soap to by face with my bare hands only - as on one occasion i had applied it to one of those netty balls we use to scrub our bodies with, and i guess the friction was too much on my face and on that occasion it left my face a little raw, so i'd advise against doing that - but each to their own.I hope someone somewhere out-there finds this useful. I've tried to provide as much information as i would've liked if trying to make a decision on a product to buy.NB: i'm mid 30's and smoke roughly 6 cigarettes a day (to and from work), skin WAS oily and generally not as fresh/smooth as it should be.Hope this helps!

Very good soap , highly cleansing

Fantastic product and at a good price

Good price -works as you'd expect.

I love this brand so much, this for me smells lovely, knowing that the products in it are good for my skin is even better, I will never use another soap. Other ones on the high street that claim good for sensitive skin still make me come out with hives or eczema and can burn my skin at times. But this soap is like gentle kisses on my skin.Disclaimer: if using a flannel to apply it with, it will stain the light ones, even after washing, so best to use a dark flannel.
