This is so well thought out, you turn it upside down to fill (very well designed indeed), it has 4 different settings for grinding. It's the best pepper grinder I've ever had and much much cheaper than "designer" pepperpots like Peugeot. Just buy it, you won't regret it. I love all the Oxo good grips range, also their little knife sharpener - very well made for human hands to use.

As with all Good Grips products, these are well made and work perfectly. Good range of adjustments for coarseness of grind. Very pleased with them.

Had numerous pepper mills over the years, none seem to last very long. Previously I've always bought mills with ceramic grinding mechanisms, but all have worn rather quickly.So decided to try this OXO mill with steel grinders. Have to say that it is very easy to select the coarseness of grind and get a lovely clean grind on each setting (from coarse to fine). Easy to hold and great that as these use 'upside down' mills when finished you don't get ground pepper everywhere.Only given them 4 stars as I have only had a short while so can't judge longevity .Overall, very good.

I've gone through so many grinders, it's embarrassing. They just break/stop working/are rubbish at filling up. But this is amazing! Takes no effort to use, fills up very easily, and just... works as it should. It's a game-changer (if your game is grinding pepper)

I have bought 2 lots of another brand now trying these. Nice and solid and I’ve had them for a while now and have not had an issue with them breaking. There is no mess with them, easy to fill really pleased with them.

My previous pepper grinder was too difficult for my aging hands to operate and there were always pepper crumbs in the dish that housed it.This is, once again, a quality OXO Goodgrips product.It is easy to fill, use and does not stand on the grinding mechanism so…no mess.Dialing the grind size is easy and the exterior needs only a wet cloth to keep it clean.Extremely satisfied !!

We are very impressed with this salt grinder. We have always used Kosher salt in a shaker with large holes for cooking, but the texture is a little course for a finishing salt. We were visiting our daughter recently, and she was using sea salt in a grinder. We really liked it, and decided to order the Oxo salt grinder since we have the Oxo pepper grinder and really like it. We are very happy with our purchase. The grind is perfect for sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, salads or anything you want to finish with salt. It comes loaded with salt, and I made sure I bought the same texture of sea salt for when it needs refilled. We love that the grinder opening for both the salt and pepper grinder is on top; No more mess on the counter! Looks nice sitting out in my kitchen.
