Daylight test didn’t work
Bought this a few months ago. Only just got round to fitting it. Instructions are easy to follow when I went to do the daylight test it failed. Made no sense. The instructions didn’t match what was happening. Decided I would replace the unit with a timer as I thought it was faulty. Just been outside now. It’s dusk and all the lights have come on. Doesn’t really make much sense. But it does appear to be working. Let’s see if it keeps going.Edit------- Its been active for a few days now and works perfectly.Edit Edit———- ok now a problem. In low light it comes on sometimes on cloudy days and goes off early. Setting the lum is very sensitive and either results in the unit triggering or not triggering at all and arriving home in darkness. It sort of works…ish but I’m going to remove it and use a timer module instead. At least that will be more predictable than this unit. It’s not rubbish but it’s not very reliable.

Simple to fit.
Utilised this sensor to turn on an additional outside light, which was too difficult to connect up to the other circuitry. I found the wiring connections & instructions to be very straightforward. There are little arrows above the connections to clearly show live & neutral in & out. I installed it about a month back, & thus far it is working well without any issues.

Good product easy set up
Only downside is when power cut it defaults to start the timer from start. Not a major issue in my case.Works well

Sensky SK300 AC220-240V Photoelectric Outdoor Switch
I purchased this item to operate some new driveway lights. I did not want the lights to operate dusk to dawn & stay on through the night as this is not very eco-friendly so I purchased this item so the lights can be set to come on at dusk, stay on for a few hours & then go off during the night. very easy to set up & works like a dream. Simple connection of power to Sensky & Sensky to lighting ring. Set dusk setting & number of hours to remain on. I really like the simplicity of this unit. You need to remove the screws & open the unit to set it up but that's not a big issue to me personally.

Better than a more expensive steinel nightmatic unit.
I'm an electrician and have fitted over 10 of these now. Just set it to dusk / dawn and the lux half way. Used to use Steinel nightmatic 3000 for many years, but they have dropped in quality and performance and their customer service is quite arrogant. If there is a street light nearby or they can see their own light, they begin to "tick" every few minutes or refuse to come on at all. This Sensky product overcomes these problems and just works. Would be nice if they had maintenance free connections instead of screws. Just about to order 4 more for stock, and one will be replacing a recently fitted steinel that will be straight off in the bin.

Great value and dors the job
This is a great unit at the price, installed it yesterday and it does the job well. As some have said, the instructions are not elaborate, but there is not much to do, connect wires from the power and wires from the( load) fixture, the earths are just joined together, no terminal for them, be sure to insulate them with electric tape or whatever. Some have said they needed to take it apart to get the wires in. Not so, but you do need a very small Phillips head screw driver to open and close the terminals.
