La RicheDirections Lavender Semi-Permanent Hair Colour 88ml

Easy to apply with an old paint brush. Didn't stain the bathroom or me! Doesn't last weeks but did jazz up block dyed hair.

Really good colour coverage. Brightens my grey hair.

I've been using directions for a few years and after hopping between brands, I always come back to it. My hair it bleached to a murky yellow underneath (not bright blonde) and the colour still takes well.Washes out on my bleached hair with a slight bluey hue, but in general find that the colour lasts well and minimal transference.

I have used this product off and on for years and I rate it highly for its depth of colour and ease of use. It doesn’t come with gloves or instructions though so be sure to get something to protect your hands and look for the instructions on the internet. The picture shows it on my daughter’s previously undyed hair and it lasted for the whole of the summer. I use it (greatly diluted in conditioner) on my blond hair when I want to add a bit of warmth or a pinkish tint.

I have a few lightness pieces of hair and then the rest is a medium brown and it even showed up on the darker pieces & is a beautiful colour. Knocked a star off because I've washws my hair 3 times now since dying and the colour is still pouring out like a murder scene and stains the bath.

With most semi-permenant hair colours, you don't expect them to last long. But one wash is all it takes for this to fade out to a very pale orange for me, and often a bit patchy as certain areas it will cling to. It's worth noting that everyone's hair is different, and this is my own personal experience with this brand. Mixing the colour with conditioner and leaving that on for 20 minutes will give you enough of a top up to make the product last longer (as well as the usual washing your hair less) but I'd really like this to last just a couple of washes. I find I'm going through a lot of tubs compared with other brands but directions is very affordable and accessible.

I've used Directions hair colours for almost 40 years. The colours are always exactly as stated and last really well.I ordered pillar box red, the item I received said pillar box red on the lid but it is the same colour as dark tulip which is infact a bright pink.

I used this dye a few years ago on my natural blonde hair it worked a treat, vibrant colour, didn't last long but I loved it used this last week again with non-dyed blonde hair and I got a streak in the front that was already naturally blonder from the sun. So I bought a blonde dye, dyed my hair left it a few days and applied 2 tubs to my shoulder length hair. It has come out awful, there's a slight pink tinge that I imagine will wash right out and a few pink streaks again. Not recommended at all,I don't know if the formula has changed but I won't be purchasing again and now off to buy some pink off the shelf 😐
