My 1st time ever having anything Korean or any of these sauses!! 1st time it's very tasty & full of flavours & then a bit of a hit from chilli I guess it is?!? You don't need much of it where it's it's so spicey & full & chunky with beads of unknown stuff! It's not a smooth sause) you need to drink if you have even a spoonful of this as it makes you thirsty! 😲 get a big tub no idea how long it lasts think it goes with anything/everything! Most of their sauses contain much sugar as main ingredientvbut this sause dosnt it's got lots of soya beans & spices onion & hot pepper ect.....

Deep and rich flavour, a lovely quality ssamjang. I'm guilty of slapping this on everything, even toast! Versatile enough to use for everything from dipping, spreading, marinating, throwing into cooking. Adds huge dimension to things like noodles and vegetables/salads. Just delicious however it's used.It's very difficult to describe the flavour to anyone who isn't familiar with Korean and Asian foods. But for anyone who has a love of Asian flavours I can thoroughly recommend trying this!

Great flavour for a vegetarian Korean feast, we used it in combination with hot pepper korean paste to marinate chicken and rice, also marinated cauliflower for my son who recently became a vegetarian, and it worked so well, love to big punchy flavors, that are also suitable for vegetarians.

Item was packed in a plastic wrap but when you open the lid, the item can't be consumed.
