Technic Beauty Blocks Luxury Cosmetic Advent Calendar Make-up Sets

I bought advents for Christmas presants, the technic beauty blocks is for 12 days of Christmas, it is a very well presented advent calender, small boxes all numbered and decorated with very handy sized makeup inside. This was bought for a 16 year old who just adored the whole thing. I would buy this advent again and would highly recommend this to others, Perfect, a gift that lasts for 12 days.

This isn't a traditional advent calendar, so much as one designed to mark the twelve days of Christmas. I wasn't terribly impressed by the packaging. The calendar consists of 12 little separate cube boxes, each one containing a beauty product. The whole set is put together in a clear plastic outer - that just didn't need to be plastic. A printed cardboard box could have been used, and would have been recyclable as opposed to needlessly employing rigid, non-recyclable single use plastic.The individual cubes are a nice idea, but the contents aren't the best quality, and are generally dwarfed by the size of the cubes they arrive in. Even some of the larger items only seemed to fill around 10% of their cubes. This is the kind of make-up you get in cheap and cheerful bulk packs aimed at teenagers, and for that age group this is the kind of 'grown up' calendar that has appeal. The packaging indicates that the contents shown on the label are 'representative' rather than a completely accurate reflection of the contents, but in the set I received the appearance of the individual items seems to match those featured on the label reasonably well. If carefully handled, the cube boxes could perhaps be kept and refilled with your own gifts the next year.

This is the second Advent Calander I have tested for the Vine programme this year and the first one which uses makeup. The item comprises 12 coloured boxes with numbers on. Inside the boxes are the gifts for Advent. It comprises different types of makeup products. Mrs. C did a random test of a lipstick, a mascara, and eyeshadow and to be perfectly honest they were not of great quality. This is the type of set you would give a young teen, who is perhaps more interested in quantity and experimentation than quality. When the product arrived and you pick it up, it just feels cheap. Overall if you are buying this for a younger girl/woman then its a nice gift, but the quality of the makeup leaves a lot to be desired.
