Pokemon: Deluxe Essential Handbook Paperback – 6 Aug. 2015

This book is absolutely fantastic value.I was looking for something relatively around the £5 mark to reward my son for a particularly difficult tooth pulling which caused hysterics. Needing something quick to quiet him, we sat and he chose this book. The reviews were terrific, indeed solid five stars so I got this to reward his extraordinary bravery :DThis book is fantastic value, a very good size and filled with sumptuous illustrations full of all the Pokemon characters and their statistics. My son takes it absolutely everywhere like a little briefcase. In the car, to bed to read before sleeping, with his friends. He is nine and not a huge Pokemon fan but definitely getting there. I can't believe how much you get for your money, it is about the thickness of a big annual but with zero boring filler content and my son just adores it.I would wholeheartedly recommend this product for kids and anyone really who loves Pokemon, apparently there are shops in town selling this over ten pounds so a really great bargain. I wrote this review myself, was not asked to write one and would definitely recommend the seller I bought from. The item was here very quickly.

This handbook is currently the go to reading book for both my Pokemon obsessed boys at bedtime. High quality images, good short descriptions and moves are just what my young boys want to hear.We own several Pokemon books including the high quality Pokemon Encyclopedia but this is the book my boys (aged 3 and 5) keep coming back to. To give you an idea of how popular it is in my household we had to buy a second copy so they can both use it at the same time.

My children bought this for their Dad for Christmas who catches Pokemon for them, but I'm guessing with the aim that the book would actually be for them. All three of my children LOVE this book (age 5,8,10) and there hasn't been a day since Christmas that one of them isn't reading it or using it as reference for their own drawings. I've seen another review state that their children flip pages and have battles based on the character they land on and that's exactly what my 3 children do. The book itself is such good quality, I bought the paper back and it's still in excellent condition. I can't say I'm a Pokemon fan myself, but I'd say this was worth every penny I spent on it!

I don't think I've ever bothered to write a positive review before, but my 6 year old son is so happy with this book I felt I had to let everyone know! It goes way beyond the Pokémon found on "Go" and helps teach the whole family about the different evolutions & gens. We got it as a cheap Christmas filler present, but it has been a raging success, by far the most used present of the year. He is absolutely Pokémon obsessed and goes to bed reading it every night (never usually reads to himself!). He even took it to school yesterday for World Book Day AND remembered to bring it home!! A brilliant buy, highly recommended.

I purchased 2 of these. One for myself and one for my 11-year-old cousin. He absolutely love it! Even though his English isn't very good (we're Danish) so he can't read all of it, he can still see the names and evolutions of all the Pokemon, and see what generation they belong to. I really like it too but I am subtracting a star because I really think it would have been much better if the pokemon had been arranged by number rather than alphabetically. This is a rather big "problem" but it is also the only problem for me with this book.

Absolutely fabulous! This is that good, that I wish I had bought one for myself too! The pictures are big and vibrant, with information gallore on each Pokemon. Bought as a Christmas present for my 5 year old son who has recently been introduced to the world of Pokemon, I just know he's going to love this!For a fiver, it is 'Essential' for any Pokemon fan, young or old- you really can't go wrong!

This little, thick, PACKED, colourful book is AMAZING!! Bought for my 10yr old son who absolutely LOVES it! Beautifully displays over 700 pokemon with a mini guide to all the stats+facts for each one, ie: pokemon type, moves, description etc. An absolute bargain & joy for any interested pokemon fan to study or use as reference or simply just to pour through the colourful pages & enjoy looking at them all... Best present for a boy who had a FAB school report & deserved a lovely gift from Mum..! -Pokemon fans will LOVE this, its fab & a bargain ;)

Excellent book for any Pokemon fan. My son really likes it and finds it very informative. Getting my son to sit and read something can be quite difficult but he will happily sit reading through this and finding out things about all the Pokemon in it. It is also good as he plays the Pokemon games on DS and he can look through this book to find what region certain Pokemon are in and the attacks they can perform.
