Brilliant just what I needed to replace a lock that ceased to work and as the rubber out cover cap protects the key insert from the elements it makes me feel safer too . Had I not found that someone had been in my yard and unbolted the gate leaving it open but also my cellar entrance has a lock with spikes railing surround , nothing happened but as I have had my wheelie bin stolen out of my yard in broad daylight this padlock ensures that intruders will find it not worth their time and is a deterrent as your life is the most precious thing in the house, I don’t have much worth stealing but intruders don’t know that . Plus my neighbour can wash & dry a mat/carpet with it out of view of opportunists who took minutes to steal one they’d cleaned in broad day light so it’s good to keep things out of sight and much harder to steal . I bought this to replace one that had rusted and had to be removed using a bolt cutter. I bought it as I had seen it advertised alongside the Keter Store It Out, which was it's intended use. However, it won't fit through the Keter bolt, as the padlock shackle is too big. This may be because my Keter is the Store It Out Ultra model which, I think, is the largest, but I'm not sure. In any case, I've now swapped it with the padlock from another shed that I have that does fit the Keter, so it hasn't been wasted. Still slightly disappointed, though.

this is a really good padlock, locks with a good click, so you know its locked, you can remove the key when in the unlocked position which is always a bonus when your garage or shed key on the same bunch, this padlock is used outdoors and faces all the weather, and so far no signs of rust, no stiffness while unlocking or locking, all round a great padlock with no complaints

Don't expect to keep out a determined intruder, it will break with a hefty crowbar.I use it to keep the gates shut so the dogs cannot get out. if you want to secure something valuable don't expect a £13 padlock to do it!! In my experience you need an insurance certified one which will cost around £70. The padlock performs well. it's been outside in all weathers for a year and opens every time, you need to spray a little WD40 into the lock from time time; it can be a little stiff to push together. Otherwise great value. I have two of them.

The whole lock is protected with a plastic type coating for added protection from the weather. This one is quite small and ideal for gate locks. If you can accommodate Diskus locks, they would be more secure. Would it stand up to bolt cutters or picking by someone who knows what they are doing? Doubt it. If you have high value items you would need additional protection. But great casual protection, this is fantastic and confident it will last unlike so many other "weatherproof" locks.

Loses a star for being a ridiculous price. BUT it is an excellent lock had for few months and is used outside. Not yet done a winter. Used on keter outdoor extra large storage which it just fits.

I paid £13.62 inclusive of postage for this ABUS 70IB45LSC Marine Grade Aquasafe All Weather Shackle Padlock. I’ve used it for 4 months now on my shed and looks and functions good as new still. With daily usage. No rust or stiffness. For my purpose, it offers value for money and a visual deterrent for an opportunistic passerby. Will update this review in 8 months again to give a full 1 year usage feedback. Update: April 2021 - still going good as new in all the elements. 5 ⭐️
