Lathers up really well, with a soft pleasing foam, fresh smell and moisturising effect.Blades glide easily, this soap provides adequate lubrication to allow a smooth close shaving result.Its been around for years, so that has to be testament to the quality and popularity.

Excellent product and ideal also for travel

For the price it's pretty good. Having it in its own little bowl is convenient.It doesn't lather up as much as some of th expensive soaps I've had in the past, but then again it's nowhere near the same price so there's no comparison in terms of value - this wins hands down.There's no strong fragrance and it looks to me like it will last a pretty long time. I shave every day and it's barely gone down since I bought it.Arko do a range of soap types so if this plain one isn't to your liking you could try one of the others.But for the average wet shaver I think this represents good value for money at a reasonable quality. Not the best I've ever used, but more than good enough for a decent shave and at a very affordable price.

I bought this for it's size, compatible with what is allowed on airline travel. It comes in a sealable tub, so doesn't make a mess. Produces a good lather with a decent shaving brush and gives a nice smooth shave. Curious scent, not unpleasant, maybe think old fashioned barber shop. Its so inexpensive that you could bin it after use and it would still be good value.

I was a little apprehensive buying this soap as have been using expensive soap. I have now used it for 7 shaves. The lather is thick, soft & fluffy , very gentle on the skin. I have sensitive skin and this is probably the best shaving soap I've ever used. Smells great as well. This will be my go to soap from now on...a very happy customer here in the UK

A while back I got fed up with razor burn and ingrown hairs so I decide to ditch the gimmicky Gillette razors and geld and go old school with a well made safety razor and soap and a brush. Best decision I ever made. Not only do a save a fortune on crappy disposables, but I get the best shave and no dreaded rash. This soap is key to my shave routine. Creates a good smooth bubble lather (with a brush) and doesn't dry my face out. It also lasts ages.

I often went for shaving soaps in the 30 pounds and upper range but I will not be doing so again. You get a ton of foam from Arko shave soap and it has a decent barber shop scent. I honestly can see no reason why I spend more at the moment when this does so much more than certain soaps that cost three times the price. It just dosent come in a nice wooden bowl I suppose...
