You can choose whichever you like. If you've registered your audio interface after purchase you get Tracktion Waveform 8 included. Also there are many free and paid D.A.W Software. If you want a free one I suggest Cakewalk by Bandlab or Tracktion's totally free T7 D.A.W. For paid one's I never used them but I heard Propellerhead Reason and Cubase are quite good as a friend said reason is the best one.

Q: What headphones would you recommend? As I use my beats and when plugged in theirs always a kind of beep distortion noise when in use.

For home studio users you cannot go wrong with a pair of Sony MDR 7506/1s. For less than £100 you get professional quality flat response studio headphone monitors!
