...I ordered the wrong switch and I should have known better.This is a: 1-Gang 1-Way and I needed a: 1-Gang 2-Way so I have placed another order and will keep this one as you never know when it might come in handy.As to the product itself there's not much to say. The outer casing is a good solid white and not cream as some tend to be whilst the switch and the switch housing are fairly standard and offer a satisfying and audible click when switching on/off.The switch lined-up perfectly with the old [40 years] existing 'wall box' and the supplied screws went straight into the old fitting and tightened up to exactly the same square marking of the old switch being replaced so no need for any minor redecoration issues.My only minor 'irk' is that the small screws you need to undo to connect your wires into the switch mechanism have an oddly wide cross cut for a flat-blade screwdriver and were a little bit off-centre - but this may have been a one-off and didn't prevent me from fitting it before discovering it would solve my immediate problem but still needed replacing with the right 1-Gang 2-Way switch [more haste - less speed as my dear old mum would say].Given that this 1-Gang 1-Way switch is the right one for you I am very happy to recommend this item to you as excellent value.If this feedback/review has helped in any way please be kind enough to click on 'Helpful'.Thank you for your time in reading my 'Review/Feedback' – I hope it may have helped you in your buying decision.

Bought ti replace light switch in house that was starting to get a bit dodgy and sticky. This did the trick. Fits perfect and good quality for the price! Thanks

Having bought myself some NON lighting from Ikea many years ago and like many things never got around to installing it I decided it would be a good time to stop cutting myself whilst preparing meals and do something about the lack of lighting under the cupboards in the kitchen.Initially I installed the lights as is and then realised that I had a socket above cupboard so that I could move the cable spaghetti away from the work surface. Initially I'd thought of using a push switch (again something I had) but I then read that this could burn out, so I decided to buy this simple rocker switch.I admit it's been some years since I did any electronics or wiring of any description so it took me a while to convince myself that I could do it, but all it took was cutting one section of wire and connecting it through the switch and mounting it via a pattress (yep, I had that already - it's amazing what I have in my handbag!) to the underside of the cupboard.Hey presto - click, no explosion, no fuses - there was light - it worked! Electrical wiring confidence restored I replaced the outside halogen pir lantern... What next rewiring the cellar?

If you know how to wire electrical items you’ll find this so easy. Our kitchen switch was damaged by new fridge being moved in we ordered this came the next day and was wired and working in minutes. It’s a basic standard design but goes without saying if your not hot on working with electricity get someone qualified to install

Works ok but very fiddly to install. Its 50/50 if you get it the right way up. I didn't and now have a talking point.

A nice, simple and neat switch. It comes with two screws to attach it to the box unit along with the smaller internal screws (2) to attach the copper wires for the light. Perhaps because it is a 1 Gang 1 Way switch, it was straightforward to replace the old inoperative light switch (having previously watched an instructional video). There were three red wires (L Presumably) in the wall, with two of the three going into one terminal in the old light switch (it had only two terminals). Therefore, it was relatively easy to place them into the corresponding terminals of this new light switch, as it also had two terminals.It was recently installed and works as hoped. If things change, I will update my review accordingly.
